Davos' Fingers - A Song of Ice and Fire Podcast

Episode 144: New Friends, New Enemies

26 Jun 2023

Description

In Episode 144*, the Fingers follow Kvothe into Imre and further into the depths of the University.  Inside, we get a cultural education about the University, and we meet the Masters that control admissions.  Kvothe must work some Kvothian magic to be admitted, but once he is, we get to meet some new friends and some new enemies.  Kvothe is at the University at last; where he thinks he belongs, and that is something to celebrate.   We are just under 1/2 of the way through The Name of the Wind, the first book in The Kingkiller Chronicle, and we hope you come along for the ride with us while we all await The Winds of Winter!  It is a rich text by a fantastic author, and you should definitely give it a try! We strive to be spoiler free while we analyze the text at the Davos’ Fingers podcast.  Please listen along as you read this series without fear of being spoiled.  However, for all those that are interested in our thoughts of what might be coming next, we have a special segment called Devi After Dark to fulfill all your darkest needs.  If you have something you’d love for us to cover on Devi After Dark, please reach out and ask! Please contact us!  We want to hear from those that worship Patrick (and George) as much as we do!  We can be found at [email protected], @davosfingers on twitter, at davosfingers.com or you can find our page on Facebook. And if you want to watch it on the ol' Youtube to see our ugly mugs, check it out here: https://youtu.be/x-grgioG2nY *Episode 144 Covers chapters 33-38 of The Name of the Wind
