Episode 147:  Caught By A Smile   The boys from Davos’ Fingers get a nice easy break this episode to sit back and listen to a master at work.  This series of chapters is contained almost entirely within the happening music spot, The Eolian, where Kvothe attempts to “earn his pipes”.  A small trinket fashioned to look like silver pipes, they will earn him money and clout if he is successful.  But it is no easy task, as it takes a flawless and moving performance from a skilled artist, with most attempts not meeting the bar.  Kvothe drinks with his good friends, makes a few new ones, and is reunited with an old one from months ago all in this one magical night at the Eolian. The Davos’ Fingers Podcast has drifted away from ASOIAF for a time to dive into the wonderful world created by Patrick Rothfuss within The Kingkiller Chronicle.
