WWF is getting red hot in 1998 and they are launching a brand new show on Sunday nights on the USA Network: Sunday Night HeAT! The idea of the show was a 1 hour wrestling show that put emphasis on live wrestling matches and straight to the point action. The first Sunday Night HeAT featured the main event of Kane & Mankind vs The Rock & Owen Hart! AEW runs their biggest week of shows ever at Arthur Ashe Stadium featuring 20,000 fans which saw Kenny Omega vs Bryan Danielson in a non-title match go the distance on AEW Dynamite Grand Slam. On Friday night with AEW Rampage Grand Slam, we saw CM Punk have his first TV match in over 7 years against Powerhouse Hobbs (and he wore trunks!!).
