And it's the New York Knicks with this six-two-point guard. You can't win with small guards. You know, grinding it out from double digit deficits game after game after game. And here they are. Standing as champions of the world. Beating the Spurs in five games. It was You can't predict it.
This is beautiful. Magical. And it that it that's exactly it. That's why starting with this is why I love sports or I just love sports. It Not being able to predict who's going to win just makes it that much better. And again, I mean, beginning of the season. I was a prisoner of the moment too. I was OKC was leading the charge. No one could beat them. And then finally the Spurs came along came along and they were the only team in the regular season at first early on that could actually get those dubs. But when you see how everything else plays out and you see how teams grow and how coaches grow throughout a season, I think that's exactly what it was for the New York Knicks. And that's what makes it even more beautiful because it grew right in front of your face.
I think it's one of the most impressive championship runs we've seen in terms of how they did it.

Or like, hey, the Warriors, they oh Warriors winning. That's what they do. This is so different because the if you're a Knicks fan, you've been through so much shit. I mean, if you go fifty three years, like haven't seen a championship, the nineties they had some success, you know, of course, getting to the finals. But since then, there's been so much drama, there's been disappointment, missed opportunities in free agency, bad trades, a ton of coaches. And here they are standing atop the basketball world. And so I think that's what makes it so much sweeter, is because the journey wasn't just like we are the best and we're just being everyone by 20 every night. It's like, no, even in game five. The way this game started, they scored what 13 points in the first quarter.
Uh-huh. They shot four of 22. And like, God, another game where they're down double digits, but they kept it within reach. And that's kind of the theme. That this this team doesn't get rabbit.
