Thanks for having me all. Very very kind professional intro there. I'm I'm already liking it. But yeah. Um, like you said, just do a lot of scouting, film, stats, analysis, everything draft and hopefully gonna be able to have more of those type of videos like
the Kingston Fleming one in the future. But dude, that's amazing.

Um when did you become obsessed with the draft? I guess is my first question.
Unfortunately for y'all, one of my like kind of draft awakenings was the twenty eighteen draft where Luca kept falling. Um, and I remember being a dumb kid, and even I was like, damn, why is this guy who won the Euro League MVP at eighteen not going number one? And then I realized there's a whole, you know, faction of of brilliant people on the internet who are doing really cool work. So I just kind of, you know, worked my worked my way up, have been grinding, film, writing, all that stuff alongside, you know, the the rest of my life and and doing school and now being out of school. But yeah, I've always loved the draft. Um this is about my li yes, what what this is like my seventh, seventh or eighth cycle seriously covering it.

so so crazy you do it all. I mean, all like even talking to players, breaking down their games with them. So what is your pros or what is your process when you are looking at a draft prospect?
Yeah, it's such a tough question and it really depends. Like for a lot of these players, I've been aware of them for like a lot longer than, you know, they just kind of are in their draft cycle. Like most of these guys I at least had some exposure to in like when they were in AAU or like early on in their college career. But I think the kind of first and and most important thing I like to do is like try to figure out, you know, what makes a prospect special, you know, what makes them different, what makes them unique and and what kind of you know primary things they bring to the table. I watch a lot of film, take, you know, pretty detailed notes on games and this year I've been doing more like, you know, intense like hand tracking and charting stuff, which is fun but psychotic.
But what are you
tracking? I I need to know like what are the things you're tracking when you're watching these guys? Yeah, so
basically I I have a sheet where I track pretty much all of like the quote unquote like impact plays a player makes. And you know, there's so many things that prospects do that aren't captured by box score or even like more advanced stats, you know, like rotations and advantage creation and you know help defense and extra passes and you know shot creation that doesn't result in shots.
