Join co-hosts Alice Cheng, MD, FRCPC, and Michael Rickels, MD, MS, as they discuss the latest and greatest content in the June 2023 issue of Diabetes Care. 0:41: Mike and Alice discuss the 83rd Scientific Sessions of the ADA, which will occur June 23 to 26 in San Diego, CA. Alice, who happens to be the Chair of the Scientific Sessions Planning Committee, describes some of the exciting changes attendees can expect this year, and both co-hosts share which of the many lectures, debates, and sessions they are looking forward to the most, including a new event called The Innovation Challenge and the Keynote address by former director of the National Institutes of Health Dr. Francis Collins. Alice notes a debate in which our esteemed host Mike Rickels will be participating on b-cell replacement therapies vs. artificial pancreas technologies, and the results of several major clinical trials that will be presented, including SURMOUNT-2, OASIS 1, PIONEER PLUS, COORDINATE-Diabetes, and CLEAR Outcomes. 6:58: Mike interviews Angus G.
