I guess same mission, just life is changing, you know. It's a good change. Dude, I'm happy for you. Thanks so much, man.
That's a big step for you, right?
Thanks, man. Yeah, big step. I'm excited. Marriage is a beautiful thing, you know, and I think we should get married young and have lots of kids.
I think it's a very beautiful thing, but our generation has an interesting take on marriage, I think.
Yeah, I would agree so. I think there's this lack of commitment in our culture. There tends to be, oh, I want to do this side thing over here, or I want to do this, and no commitment. Marriage is a beautiful picture of how Jesus treats believers. He calls himself the bridegroom, and we're his bride as believers. I kind of think, imagine if...
on your wedding day, you're standing at the end of the aisle, and when the doors open for the church, your bride is standing there with a beer in one hand and making out with another dude. And then, oh, no, no, no, and throws it all away and says, okay, now I'm ready. You'd be kind of confused. You'd be like, man, that's my bride. You're supposed to be committed to me.
And in the same way, you know, I think that there's this call for people today to either make a decision, you know, you're either all in for Jesus or you're not all out. And that beautiful picture of marriage being a commitment and committing to Jesus I think is so important now.
When you say our generation has a lack of commitment, do you attribute that to a Christian thing? Do you attribute that to people not being as religious as previous generations?
think i think definitely in gen z there's like a rise in people that that don't have fathers and mothers in their life people backstabbing them um there's like a rise in you know fatherless generation right now and so for me personally i just feel like it's because they feel let down they feel like they can't trust anyone right and that's where i would say jesus has pled his case on being the most trustworthy yeah and and so you know you we always hope the worst in people
