19 Nov 2025
Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
no lebron gets another one it's in his contract like he's getting two more because like all these guys they have contracts right so okay this guy's gonna be a superstar we're gonna sign him to a max contract in that max contract he is entitled to one nba championship of a shoe deal and multi-millions of dollars however in the process he has to get publicly made fun of in the media it's all media based all business you know what i'm saying i know it's like wwe 100 everything's scripted anything that makes quantillions of bajillions of quantillions of dollars is scripted
Chapter 2: How did Grady's high school experience shape his basketball journey?
Okay, guys, we got a Vegas local on today. We got Grady. I've played some hoops with him a few times, right? Yes, sir. Yeah, it's good to see you in a podcast setting.
Chapter 3: What inspired Grady to play basketball barefoot?
You've been balling a lot lately?
You know, I've been balling here and there trying to get, you know, keep my body right. You know, I don't want to just show up one day and not be able to shoot the same. You know, I don't want to do that.
Chapter 4: How did Grady transition from basketball to content creation?
That's what you're known for, shooting.
I mean, and that's what pays the bills. Like my jump shot, like people in high school would never say this, but Grady Farrick, your jump shot pays the bills. So I'm just happy to be here, man. Honestly, I'm just happy. I'm just stoked.
Yeah, thanks for coming on, man. You've been hooping for a while, though, like your whole life?
I've been hooping since I was in fifth grade, man.
Chapter 5: What role does authenticity play in Grady's personal brand?
I mean, hooping since I was in fifth grade, believe it or not.
Ten years old.
Yeah. So it's in my DNA, bro.
You got to a good level. I looked you up. You played in high school, right?
I played in high school. My high school team won the Section 6 championship during COVID. Like, we would have went to states and probably won, but just COVID shut it down.
Was that a private school or public? Public. Oh.
So we were playing against everybody. Playing against everybody.
And were you a starter?
No comment. I started occasionally, you know, when I wasn't in trouble or when I wasn't, you know, not showing up to practice or whatever the case may be. Oh, so you were a little bit of a troublemaker. Dude, I feel like I was never a troublemaker, but trouble was just drawn to me, bro. I feel like trouble was just like... Like, anytime, like, I was just having fun.

Chapter 6: What challenges did Grady face in the sports hierarchy?
You might have had ADHD or something.
No, I don't think it's a might. I definitely 100% have ADHD.
You never got diagnosed?
No, I got diagnosed. I definitely have ADHD, but I never got medicine for it. My parents were just like, yo, you got to figure this out.
Honestly, respect.
Yeah, I appreciate it because I didn't want medication. Because I've known kids that had ADHD, and when they were on medication, they just weren't the same. They just weren't the same kid.
I mean, yeah, it numbs you out.
Literally. But there was one kid. It was actually funny. His name, we'll call him Brady. We'll call him Brady just for the fun of it. He had ADHD too, and he was like the opposite of me. I was not medicated, and I was always happy-go-lucky, just having fun. He was on medicine, and then he was super angry, beat people up all the time. Damn. Yeah, he was crazy, man. Holy crap.
He threw a kid in the trash can, by the way.

Chapter 7: How is Grady leveraging platforms like Athlete Narrative for athletes?
He was dumb nice at sports.
At ball or football? Everything, bro. Damn.
Chapter 8: What is Grady's vision for inspiring the next generation of athletes?
Jesus beast. It was interesting to see the respect of certain sports in high school.
true the the hierarchy of sports yeah yeah i was a track athlete we got no oh yeah you don't get no love bro yeah we get shit on but you're on the high but you're on the scale we're on the scale we're above band students but we're near the bottom of the sports scale oh i i think you're way above band students bro track and field i mean we're just known as running around the track
How fast were you, though?
I was a distance runner, so we got the least respect. Sprinters get more respect.
Yeah, sprinting is like, oh, I need to see who wins this race, but I don't really care about you running like five times around the track.
Yeah, 5K, no one's watching that. No one's giving you flowers. Exactly. No one's coming to the game. No one's wearing your jersey for that. Even I respect sprinters more than distance runners, and I'm a distance runner.
It's a cold world we live in, bro. We got to change things up around here.
Yeah. I mean, the girls are attracted to what they are.
You know? They don't... Dude, the male gaze, or the female gaze, whatever gaze, bro, is just like... You just gotta rock what you're doing. I feel like that's what it is. I feel like whatever you're doing, you just gotta like... really, like, ball out. Like, Noah Lyles, like, he's a sprinter, though. Yeah, yeah.
