In business, I'm always trying to get the best outcome for the best price. So it's kind of crazy. I haven't looked at my life insurance in years. I was crazy, man. They had cameras everywhere. There's not a single part of the city. No blind spots in the city. Everywhere you went, you would be watched. I would have done it, to be honest.
I know it's a controversial play, but it's $5 million, man.
Yeah, I mean, it was a strategic gameplay. Like, hats off to them. And if I went with the other team, I would have been eliminated.

Chapter 2: What was the experience like being filmed for Mr. Beast's game show?
My strategy was just to go in there, be my genuine self. I'm an optimistic person, outgoing. I like to meet new people. And the accolades that... these individuals had on the show were super amazing. Some huge accomplishments. So I just wanted to get to know people on a personal level and just really form the response and try to talk to everyone I can.
And it worked, man. I remember the second to last game, everyone voted you first, right? Into the final six. You formed a bond with everyone at that point, right?
They all liked you a lot. Yeah. Yeah. We were all super close. I got to talk to a lot of them often and build that relationship. And I was shocked that, you know, it worked out. Unanimous. Yeah. It worked out that well for me. And, you know, I wasn't planning on going first because I was trying to help all my friends try to get through because I figured I was somewhat safe.
Yeah, you had a good alliance at that point, right? Yeah, yeah. And at that point, when I saw the outcome of the votes, like I didn't know I was that safe. So just thankful to have made it through that first round and not to spend money.
Yeah, I felt like that round was pivotal because then you got to pick the first spot in the next game and you picked the edge, which was smart, right?
You don't want to be in the middle. Yeah, because I was kind of basing that off of season one. They did a similar game where it was basketball related. And if you're in the middle, you're obviously more easy of a target for people. So I figured one of the edges would work out well for me. It worked, man. How tough were those kicks?
Because I couldn't tell based off the angle, but were they pretty far away?
Yeah, so from my perspective to like Hannah's on the other side, it was probably about, I don't know, 15 yards, 20 yards or so. And then, you know, obviously got closer and stuff. So it was pretty close. Yeah, it was somewhat close, but... One thing that not a lot of people saw was those platforms that we kicked on were super wobbly. Oh.
So, like, you had to be super careful to not fall off those platforms. Because if you kicked and you fell off those platforms, you'd be eliminated. No way. Yeah. I didn't know that. Wow. So, yeah, we had to, like, kind of, you know... get a good feel of how wobbly the platforms were, and then just try to make our best judgment of where to stand, where to kick from.

What was your favorite challenge throughout the games? Oh, man, that's tough. I think my favorite challenge probably would have been the first one.
Really?
Yeah, 40 feet up in the air. The hanging one, right? You got to go down. Go through the trap door.
climb down pick up a third of your body weight get the blocks climb back up that one was hard yeah it was it was tough man like a lot of people's uh like little platform when they got down there broke so i was essentially like holding on with one arm trying to pull my third of my weight up holy crap yeah so it was it was tough but it was fun man like looking back at it after it was filmed and edited and you see like those awesome drone shots like it was it was sick it was nuts
It was a great challenge to kick off season two with. Yeah, starting off strong. Were you one of the first to finish that one? Yeah, I think I was like eight or nine by the time I got up there. I remember hearing eight or nine or something like that. So I was one of the first ten to finish. Nice. When did you feel like you actually could have won, though?
Like how many people were left when you thought that? I think... Probably around like 10 people, man. Because you never know what challenge is going to be next. You know, you don't know what relationships are forming in the background and stuff. So once it dwindled down to 10 people and I had alliance with my three buddies and then I had alliance with other people.
And I felt like I was in a good spot to move forward. And yeah, just the next challenges really worked out in my favor with the social aspect of the game.
Yeah. The finale looked intense, man. It was. Did it feel like that? Because the way they showed it, I was like on the edge of my seat.

Chapter 4: What were the most challenging aspects of the game?
It's not going to be strong completely just going against smart people. You know, we're probably going to have to work together at some point. So that's when the intermingling started to happen. Who was the best at basketball? Oh, man. Other than you. I'm all right. I can shoot, but I'm trying to think. Jimmy's got a jumper. Yeah, yeah, Jimmy was good, man. He was really good. I was surprised.
He actually plays, I think. Yeah, yeah. He has a gym in his studio. He plays all the time, man. But I think Nick was pretty good at basketball. Autumn, she is a college basketball player. Autumn, which one was that one? She got out on dodgeball. She was a strong competitor. She was a female. She plays in college. That was a fun one to watch, dodgeball. Yeah, that was awesome, man.
Yeah, Kira popped off for a little bit. I was rooting for him to get through. You guys teamed on him. The assassin, man. The assassin, yeah. I wasn't planning on throwing at him. I told him this, and I remember looking at him, and he was looking at me. I was like, dude, I'm not throwing at you, man. Like, I think you're awesome. I'd love to work with you.
And he thought I was looking at him to throw at him. So he threw at me. He went for it. Yeah, but... Were you the one that got him out? No, no, that was Avery. Avery got him out. Yeah, but... Yeah, even though he threw at me, I didn't throw at him. So I just kind of chucked it away.
That was a pivotal. A lot of season one guys got out pretty quick.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, they did.
Kind of set the tone for the show.
Yeah, and Jeff made it pretty far from running. Jeff made it the farthest, right? Yeah, he made it to the cubes. Yeah, the cubes. Yeah, and then he self-sacrificed for Hannah and Katie. Yeah, and then they ended up going far. Yeah.
yeah top 10 and then final four was jeff giving you some game during the games oh yeah man yeah so uh when jeff got in the game i immediately went up to him talked to him greeted him introduced myself because i was a big fan of him from season one yeah just knowing about his cause his son lucas and what he stands for and how he's trying to raise awareness for creatine transport deficiency

Chapter 5: How did the guest feel about winning and its impact on their life?
Let's do it. So it was just kind of like a free-for-all for people. Yeah, I wonder if it's best to go in with friends or with people you're not friends with. What do you think? I would say to probably go in with people that you're not close with. Okay. Yeah, because it'll give yourself and your friends a better chance of getting through. Right.
Unless, like, you guys come up with, like, a strategic plan or something like that, but... Ultimately, if you were to choose people you weren't close with or something like that, and everyone agrees to do something fair or whatever the case may be, then that'll be your best chance. Because there was, I think, eight cubes or so.
So if we all split up, that's a 33% chance of getting through, as opposed to 66% with two of us in there. So it could be a little more difficult for both of us to get through.
but be a lot easier if you're in there with people that you weren't as close with so that makes sense yeah um now obviously there was thousands of hours of footage that didn't get seen uh was there anything you you wanted to see on tv that they didn't air um nah i mean there was a lot of goofy moments that i had that weren't on her uh i know that i saw on reddit people some people thought like um bland kind of boring the military yeah yeah right like super conservative whatever but uh
was a lot of goofy i had a lot of goofy moments and stuff like that so um maybe they showed a little bit more of that yeah yeah but ultimately i'm i'm happy with how it played out what was shown and yeah i mean that was just my genuine self stuck to my strategy of being kind of like laid back reserved and then making moves when i needed to and then going from there man so
Were they filming every single conversation and every single moment?
Oh, yeah. Really? There was cameras everywhere.
Like, literally everywhere?
Yeah. Wow. The only area that didn't have cameras was, like, you know, the bathrooms and stuff. But, like, they were in our dorms. We had, like, three or four cameras in our dorms. Really? So while you were sleeping? Yeah. We had mics in there, too. What? Yeah. That's wild. Yeah. We had some awesome conversations that night. Just the guys in there just, you know, joking around and stuff. Yeah.

Chapter 7: How does the guest plan to use their newfound platform?
How much did you take on that one?
I took 100. Yeah. So I just stuck to my word. I told everyone because we kind of had an idea that it was coming. And I told everyone, like, hey, I'm going to stick to 100K. Like, I'm just going to take that and then not take any more. And that's what I took. And no one was mad or upset about it. Good move. Because if you took more, you might have been voted out later. Yeah.
Yeah, it could have been another example of, like, if taken more, like, I could have had a different outcome.
In the final three, did you even consider taking the million?
Not one bit. Really? No. Wow. So you were convinced that... I was, like... So close to being at the end. And I didn't want to live with what ifs. So I was like, I could take this guaranteed mill. But if I did, I'm going to live with like the what ifs. Like what if I didn't? What if I moved on to the final challenge? Like what the outcome could have been if I, you know, made it there.
So at that point, I had 100K in my pocket. And I was willing to risk it to make it to the end and see how it worked out for me, man.
So even if you got second, you were at peace with that decision?
Yeah, yeah, because, like, you know, I didn't want to, like, live with the what-ifs. Like, I gave it a shot, and it didn't work out in my favor. You know, Corey, awesome guy. If he won, props to him and his family. Happy for him. But not taking that shot would have ate at me for a long time. I feel that. Do you know if Corey was considering it? He was not considering it at all. No, man.
Me and Corey were like, no, we're not doing it. Wow. So Brett was like, are you guys sure? Yeah. It was like a gentleman's game, man. We were just having conversations. Yeah, you guys were chilling. Yeah, we were just chilling. And Brett was like, are you guys sure if I take this? I think my name's in the envelope. I'm like, yeah, dude, go ahead, man. We're here for the long haul. Wow.

Chapter 8: What is the guest's perspective on the current state of college athletics?
Yeah. So it was cool. It was cool. A reaction from her. She was completely thrown off. I could tell by her reaction. She was speechless. Yeah. Yeah. She, uh, yeah. We're, we're both still that way. We, it's still unfathomable. Like that we accomplished it. Like we, we did it. Yeah. It really hasn't set in yet. 200 people. Think about how many people applied. Yeah. Over a thousand. Yeah.
I think they were saying like over 400,000 people applied. Holy crap. Yeah.
So you got a one out of 400,000 chance to win the money.
Yeah. It's, it's surreal to think about, man. Just, just blessed to be in this position. That's nuts, man.
So what's next for you then?
Yeah. Um, try to, try to figure out, um, current work situation. You gonna retire? Uh, I'm, I don't think I'll retire. I definitely will look to try to go guard because I'm in the military right now. Right. Go the guard route and then hopefully get into coaching college football. Nice. Get back to that. And then maybe get into like the production side of things or so.
There's a couple of offers there. Okay. There's a couple different opportunities and stuff. But yeah, I just got to see what fits best for my family and then just go from there. But hoping I can get into college football. Really?
So you're still really passionate about football.
Oh, yeah, man. Yeah. I played at Penn State. I watch football every Saturday and Sunday, Monday, Thursdays. And whenever there's a football game on during the season, I got it on. Wow. Yeah, I'm still super passionate about it, man.
