Margarita Alvarado es diseñadora y esteta, dedicada a entender el trabajo de los mapuches en Chile. En esta entrevista nos cuenta como la significación y la funcionalidad se funden en las maneras de hacer artesanía. Margarita propone que en nuestras escuelas de diseño debería haber más enseñanza sobre las culturas originarias. Ella sugiere que construyamos nuevas formas de educación que nos permitan tener una sociedad de respeto y tolerancia. Las artesanías no son el hermanito menor del diseño, son expresiones de nuestra sociedad que merecen el respecto, nos dice.
