Dish

Candice Brathwaite, spaghetti agli scampi and a Pinot Gris

02 Aug 2023

Description

Nick and Angela welcome an author and podcaster to DISH HQ for the final episode of series 3. Candice Brathwaite is a critically acclaimed writer, journalist and TV presenter. A self-confessed fashion and beauty addict, Candice often appears on ITV's Lorraine and has designed a bestselling handbag collection with the sustainable accessories label, Been. Her first book, I Am Not Your Baby Mother, made it onto the Sunday Times Bestsellers List in 2020, and her first foray into fiction, a young adult novel called Cuts Both Ways, was released in August 2022. Candice hosts a podcast called Closet Confessions with Coco Sarel, in which they and their listeners share confessions in a safe space. It is now in its second season. Angela prepares a mouth-watering spaghetti agli scampi and Nick tops up the wine pairing, an Ara Single Vineyard Pinot Gris. There is a beautiful balance of light and shade in this episode as Candice shares memories of her childhood and how it has informed her writing, her kids’ reaction to her cooking and there’s an incredible closet confession from Angela! Just so you know, our podcast might contain the occasional mild swear word or adult theme.
