They can also submit ideas for guests and topics and appear on the show during the summer the week behind us started when the trailblazers came to town the nuggets played well but the guests were scorching hot from outside the three-point line while the good guys couldn't find the bottom of the net uh out out there uh one of seven versus nine of seventeen created the four-point deficit at the first break in the second quarter the great outside shooting from portland continued with seven more made long ones but this time around the Nuggets weren't as crisp offensively, so the lead grew to 14 at the big break. The third quarter started well, but around the seven-minute mark, the Nuggets began missing open shots and turning the ball over, resulting in an 18-point deficit with two minutes before the last break.

The fourth quarter was when the Jets got turned back on again. It started with Jonas making four of his five shots, but the efficient offense was nulled by the inefficient defense. Joker entered at the eight-minute mark and the good guys turned the game over. They started executing on offense perfectly and also made their defense stout, so they finally got their first lead of the game, not counting the opening minutes with 30 seconds to go after a very clutch corner three by AG. They couldn't protect their two-point lead, had a chance to win in regulation, but Joker missed a last-second shot plus a tip-in. In overtime, the Nuggets got an early five-point lead, and after Billy Kennedy announced his fourth coach's challenge decision, and I have to mention that each one was more flamboyant than the other, the Nuggets got the possession, which resulted in Jamal's dunk that practically sealed the win.

Joker finished the game with 35-14-13 with five steals and two blocks. Aaron had 23 with four huge made threes. Jamal had 20 with most of those points coming in the fourth quarter and overtime. And Cam Johnson had another great game with 17-6-7 and a plus-minus of plus 25, by far the largest on the team. Coincidentally or not, Tim Hardaway Jr. had a plus-minus of minus 15 24 in his 23 minutes, so my thought was that the coaching staff might have needed to look into the lineups that had him playing that night. 9th straight win tying the longest win streak of the Jokic era. Two nights later, the super tank from Memphis, Tennessee, came to town. The Grizzlies have lost 10 of their last 11 games since beating the Nuggets on March 19th.

This time around, they had 11 guys missing the game, and that has to be a record of some sort. Actually, it isn't. I've seen way worse a couple of days later. Anyway, to start the game, the Nuggets shot the ball well. thanks to their elite shot creation, but were going through the motions so badly that they were down 8 at the 9-minute mark in the third quarter. That was when the Nuggets said, fine, I guess we'll play some defense tonight, and went on an immediate run. It's worth mentioning that Cam Johnson and Tim Hardaway Jr. were red-hot on offense in that period. The run coincided with the signature move of the Adam Silver-era NBA, The Grizzlies benched their three best remaining guys in Walter Clayton, Cedric Howard and Taylor Hendricks to make sure they wouldn't accidentally make this game close.
