The week behind us started in San Francisco, where the Nuggets flew in after a magnificent blowout in Portland. The start of the game didn't promise much, even though the Nuggets played well on offense, led by Joker dishing eight assists in the first quarter alone. Their defense allowed 19 three-point attempts in that period, and the Warriors made nine of those attempts. for a double-digit lead at the first break. In the second quarter, the situation remained similar, but the Warriors added only six more main threes, so the lead was down to nine at the big break. The third quarter was the big chance the Nuggets needed. The Warriors missed 14 consecutive threes. Joker finished the game with 30, 12, and 6, despite missing 9 outside shots. He got the support from Cam Johnson, Julian Strother, Tim Hardaway Jr., and Jonas Valanciunas, who were all barely in the double digits, but that was enough against Boston's pedestrian total of 82 points. Oh my god. One of the best wins of the season, and probably the first one that was won on the defensive side of the court. Finally, last night, the good guys played in Oklahoma City. Joker and company started playing great defense again, holding the thunder to just 66 points in the first 30 minutes of the game time. despite great play from Sheik Giglers-Alexander, who returned from his abdominal strain injury. The only reason the Nuggets didn't win this game in regulation was the two non-Jokic stints to start the second and fourth quarter.
