Like whatever comes to his mind.

Hey, this is, I don't think that you should even talk about that or you should just get out ahead of it and say it. But we've, we've known that Calvin Booth has always been just a straight shooter. He says what's on his mind. He says what he, he truly feels. And if you don't like it, stay on that side. I don't think that he's in a position to do that.
He is an ultimate stay on that side, guys.
I don't think he's in a position to do that anymore. And I feel like in this, I think that he tried to control the narrative and didn't think about what the backlash could be or how there could be pushback in any way. And I don't think it went as he believed that it should have went. So it was a lot of comments. There was a lot of areas that he, I feel like he should have talked about that he didn't, or he thought that he'd said enough. And it was like, it just left more questions.
What did you think of it?
I want to go last. I know Cal fairly well. I know him personally. Nothing about the interview was surprising to me. And yet, I think one of his challenges is he's not very good at understanding how he'll be perceived. This is kind of my analysis of him. I've long said I think Cal's a really good guy. I don't think he's an idiot either. I think he's a smart guy in very specific ways. I don't think he's a great speaker. if he's trying to come off a certain way. So I know people are going to latch on to him saying, I made the job look easy coming in and winning a championship right away. That's a bad soundbite, even if I don't think he meant it in the way that it'll be twisted, but it's obviously a really bad soundbite.
And he does come off... It's tough because it's well publicized, the rift. I think he tries to do a good job of saying, look, every front office and coach, they have their differences, but it wasn't the deal that everyone made it out to be. To me, it's like one of those things where I don't think this did him any favors. I don't think anybody looks at him more positively from this or really learned something from it, and I was probably ill-advised to do. I don't know what he was trying to accomplish, but I don't think he accomplished whatever it was he set out to do.
Yeah, I mean, I've got to think he was trying to accomplish something along the lines of trying to set the record straight and also getting his name out there for future jobs. But I'm with you. I don't think it's going to come off that way.
It didn't work that way.
Yeah, I don't think that's how it's going to be received. I'll be honest, man. This just pissed me off when I saw it, to be completely honest.
