Yeah, well they definitely can
win it. It's uh it's a battle of attrition to some extent because we've well, Hardy Savio, Luke Jacobson someone our Quintupaya, b three big big big name players not able to play. There'll be other guys banged up and a bit sore. They were planning on making a few changes anyway. So it will be about finding the right balance in that team to to get enough leadership uh uh into it but also to get enough new f new guys with a bit of energy. If they get that balance right, South Africa have picked pretty much largely the same team and are asking the same guy. Yeah. Look, they've been they've been awesome, they're big name players, but I don't know if they've got a fourth one in them. So I think there might be there's potentially an advantage to New Zealand here that they'd be if they're brave enough to change.
Yeah, so like I said, talk to Dave Rennie before. I asked him a question about penalties, uh whether uh dumb penalties versus smart penalties is a sort of sustainable way of going about it. We'll look at that clip now.
No, no, there's some soft penalties in there. Um, maybe not so much last weekend but Certainly the some of the tour games and then the first couple of tests. So just um Oh, you know, I like penalties when you're you hit early at line out time. It's just stuff that we can control. There be times where guys Hunt for the ball. Um and that real fifty fifty at times a referee, sometimes you get rewarded, sometimes I say, Oh no. He didn't roll away quick enough or whatever, so Um Yeah, you don't want to be so squeaky clean you never get penalised them. You're not pushing the boundaries, but The penalty count was pretty even on the weekend though, so Um Yeah, the ones that h hurt us, we just um we got turned over a couple of times at key times and have been quite a number of scrum penalties.
Uh what do you think of the Oblakes discipline so far on the tour? Patchy, yeah, to say the best one, like you you were asking the question of Dave earlier, you know, like how many of these penalties are just sort of out and out dumb penalties that could be avoided and how many are a consequence really of the game that they want to play and they're taking some risks around uh turnover ball, around off sideline. Yeah, what's where where's the balance there? Look I think there's a reality that you know you'd you'd probably say ideally, um at the p you'd want them to be down to zero, no penalties, that'd be the ideal outcome.
