So let's start with the opener. First match, first win, incredible goal. What was the biggest takeaway from that game? And what do you feel like this group showed? Um, you know, I think most importantly, these games are not easy when you're playing against, you know, an Argentina or a Columbia. It just, it's a different test. Um, every time we play a team like that, I think the physicality and how they make it just so difficult for us to play. I think it's always like, how can you find a way to win? Um, and yeah, Yeah, maybe at times we weren't playing the best football that we could.
We were trying to solve it. But sometimes it's a goal like Jay and I had that, you know, puts us over the top and gets us the win. And I think Emma said at the end of the game, that's the most important thing, especially in a tournament. That might be the case when, you know, when we get to a World Cup, we might need a game like this. So that's the most important thing. And we take that experience and move forward. You talk a little bit about the physicality, right? I got a little feisty there, a little chippy there at the end. But how do you as a leader in those moments keep the team focused and super calm, especially, you know, with an opponent like Canada coming up? Yeah, I think actually before the game, we talked a lot about emotional control.
And it's funny that we talk about this because I think when I was younger, it was not my best strength.
