Heather, it's the 20th season of OC. Did you ever think the show would get to this point?
I mean, I guess yes. I can't imagine. It's such a big piece of pop culture. It's the original franchise. And I think the way the show and we have evolved over the years is interesting. And to your point, people grow up with us. So Gail, you don't know this, but when I first started the show about 15 years ago. You were 12. I was 12. Exactly. Exactly. And my youngest child was nine months old, and he just got his learner's permit. He's going to be 16 in December. And, you know, it's just fun, like, having, you know, people see the kids grow up. And, you know, my husband and I have been together almost 30 years. Well, I've watched him. Oh, you watched my husband.
How did Heather Dubrow first get involved with The Real Housewives and did she expect it to last 20 seasons?
Oh, Too Bad He's Not Here. And I actually liked him. He was my, I actually enjoyed that show very much. I don't remember.

I enjoyed that. I mean, I, cause especially, you know, there's so many people that do have terrible surgery. So I really enjoyed watching it.

Yeah. No, it's so fun to watch both of you as a couple in the spotlight. Has that ever been difficult or do you love that dynamic?
Well, I mean, both. So when you're married a long time, we say good days and bad days, good years and bad years. And I think the one bad year that we had, he won't agree with me, by the way, but I think the one bad year we had was captured on camera. So that was not easy. But, you know... I think the reason why we've been able to survive the reality show curse for marriage is because you get through things and you talk through them and all the things. But it's so funny because our kids make fun of us because we do like doing things together. You know, we've written three books together. We've had products forever, podcasts, TV shows, whatever. And now we do these cringy TikToks.
They're so good. They're not cringe. Thank you. All social media is cringe.
Exactly. My kids think they're cringe. Right.
Naturally.
Now, what's the ages? So, Sachin is the baby. He's the baby. He'll be 16 in December.
Right.
And then he's going to be a sophomore in high school. Okay. And then I have Kat, and she's going to be a sophomore at Yale in the fall.
Oh, super.
And then my twins, boy and a girl, just graduated college.
Right.
One from Tufts. Oh, that's where my daughter went.
Really? Yes.
Oh, my God. My sister went there, too. I wonder if they know each other. My daughter was, I think, class of... She's 61. 61. No, a little, a few years older. Okay, but anyway, so she's going to law school, and then my son graduated from LMU in LA, and he's figuring it out.
Okay. Well, that's LA, so he has to figure it out. I know.
You know, I'm a New Yorker transplanted to LA and dragged down to Orange County. I'm just clawing my way home.
Hey, Grandma, do you have advice for Heather on parenting as the kids get older?
She knows how to do it. She's got four kids. She's figured that out. There is no advice. At this point, she has to worry about being with her husband. You're almost an empty nester. Almost.
