All right, welcome everybody to the Fantasy Pros Show. Today, it's pretty simple. We're just gonna recap everything that happened today in the fantasy football world. Unfortunately, today, tons of injuries that we're gonna talk about. Uh, but I'm joined by Scott Bogman, Dr. Deepak Chona. Scott, we'll start with you. How did you uh how'd fantasy go with you today?
Fantasy was okay, obviously. Um a lot of landmines to avoid here. We're gonna have Deepak on for a while uh today. Uh and uh yeah, that was not so much fun. Um my team, the Steelers, also got stomped out by the the Patriots. So uh not the best Sunday for me, but not also not the worst Sunday. We're still watching football. It's still fun. We're still here.
What were the most important injury updates from Week 2?
year. So uh yeah, uh we'll s we'll say a fifty fifty.
Yeah, there you go. We'll take it. We'll take it. Yeah. Uh Deepak, a busy day for you today. Uh unfortunately Texans fan, not not so much fun there. But uh how are you doing? How's everything going?
Yeah, I'm hanging in there after a rough loss today, but uh a lot of injuries. So I think as you said, we're gonna stay distracted at the very least.
Yeah, so yeah, no dilly-daling here. Let's just talk about some injuries. Um, obviously there's a ton to talk about, but the main, the big ones here, the the the two quarterbacks. We got Caleb Williams, we got Jaden Daniels. I mean, Caleb Williams, you would have thought that his leg leg got shot off, but it looks like just a hammy injury. We'll talk about that. Jaden Daniels, obviously a little bit scary with his elbow. Uh Nico missed the week with a hammy. And then uh tomorrow night, a little bit scary with uh Puka Nakua groin hip issue, and then Jonathan Brooks. So we'll start with the quarterbacks. And we'll start with Caleb Williams, uh just because you know that Bears offense fifty nine points last week.
N six points this week. What what are we thinking about Caleb Williams and his injury?
Yeah, Caleb Williams. So hamstring is kind of the truthfully like a best case scenario here. He uh in general, now it looked like he was walking without much of a limp afterwards. And they were reassured. Uh these hamstring injuries, his they average about two weeks. So very likely he'll at least be out one to two weeks. If you rush him back, the reinjury risk is pretty high. Now, his initial reaction made me think this was at least On the like moderate grade severity. Uh, his later reaction makes me think this didn't sort of pull off the bone and rupture altogether. That last situation is where it could be a season-ending surgical type of injury. So most likely he's getting an MRI tomorrow. Uh, we would get a little more clarity based on grading of the injury.
Now, if they say grade one, you're usually looking at two weeks out, grade two, which is where I would suspect this lands. Is closer to the four to six week range. Now, I would lean four weeks and I think they would be conservative on their young star quarterback. Uh, usually you would see a dip in uh rushing production, not so much effect on passing when he does come back. And the key here is really re-injury risk. Up to about a quarter of players do get injured with these more severe injuries. So we'll get a little bit more clear of a look on what it really is uh after. after tomorrow.
Yeah, makes sense. And Bogman, hearing hamstring, hearing maybe not severe, it's gotta be best case scenario when you consider like how how it looked when he went out.
