We are going to be having a prediction going into this week. Some things to watch, and there is some big news. So excited to get to it all and excited to see both of you, gentlemen. But I have to imagine neither one of you are super excited about the Nico Collins news.
Uh, Mr. Pat Fitzmorris, Nico Collins popped up with a hamstring injury. No bueno. The severity looks like it is better than, you know, what we've seen in some more recent hamstring injuries, but his week two is now in question. So do you have any thoughts? Really, these midweek injuries are like the worst thing ever. This popped up uh, you know, like on a Wednesday during practice. I will say I did see some video. I think me and Erickson might have been watching or maybe it was me and Bogman. No, it's me and Bogman. And we were watching some video from that practice, and he actually looked okay. But when the video surfaced to when the injury happened was the big question. But what are your thoughts on this hamstring injury with Nico Collins?
This is Not really a team that can afford to take another hit at wide receiver after losing Jaden Higgins to an ACL tear, he's going to be out the whole year. So you lose Nico Collins, and all of a sudden you're looking at what Xavier Hutchinson and Jalen Knowle as your top two receivers. A bit problematic. And especially with the Texans having these two opening games against uh high powered opponents with high High powered offense. It's the Bills. I mean, how weird was it that it was the Texans defense not keeping up its end of the bargain and that loss to the Bills with Josh Allen just firebombing the what is expected by many people to be the best defense in the league. Texans offense certainly did its part against Buffalo last week.
Now you've got Joe Burrow and the Bengals. So you want all the firepower you can muster to keep pace with those guys and Nico would be just a massive blow. He's their best offensive player.
Oh, I think I can't do that on this show, but have you guys ever seen that m that meme where it's I'm doing my part, I'm doing my part, and then it goes to Tim Robinson. I can't do it. There's multiple it's it'd be too inappropriate here, but like that's how it it vibes to me. Uh by the way, I'm also super bummed out that Tank Dell is on the IR because this would have been the opportunity for Tank to just ball out, and I'm like all about Tank this year. Erickson is Kishan Booty The prince that was promised, will he save this team with all these wide receiver issues?
He's gonna have to try. They're gonna have to play him more. He was in more of a part time role in week one, having just been traded to the team in the middle of the preseason. So he's still getting getting ramped up, but I mean, you don't like the Texans' chances offensively if it's Xavier Hutchinson and Jared Wayne, Jalen Knowle, who they barely still play, even though he's like one of their most explosive playmakers, they don't get him the ball nearly enough.
