Welcome to the Firearms Insider Gun and Gear Review Podcast, Episode 617. This episode is brought to you by Walker Defense Excess Sights and High Point. In this show, we have a mini Red Dot review. We talk about a new equalizer, some range seekers, strike eagles. Kind of sounds like bad movies, which is why we have Dave here from High Point.
Chapter 2: What are the benefits of using Hi-Point firearms?
As you may know, we showcase guns, gear and anything else you might be interested in. We do our best to evaluate products from an unbiased and honest perspective. I am Chad Wallace, host of the most dedicated firearm podcast around. With me tonight, we have Tony, Rob, Rusty and Dave. So, Rusty, hit it.

It always got green on it. It was that or the pot of gold, and, you know, so...

I have the nine, the 10 millimeter and the 380. And the carbines are absolutely fantastic. If you're looking to stick your child into a hunting round and to hunt deer at close range, hogs,
pest control, you want something to throw in on your tractor or in your truck and beat the shit out of it, this is the gun for you. I'm just telling you because I do it. I honestly do it.
And Tony, he was making all that noise. He's showing his high point in the high tower chassis.
Oh, yeah.
I did not.

Chapter 3: How does the AimWin PE330 compare to other red dots?
Look at that thing. Look at that monster.
Oh, yeah, that monster. That thing is a monster.
I bet he's got more accessories on that thing than he does on the actual gun.
Well, yeah, probably.
Dude, the stock costs as much as our guns.
Yeah, yeah.
Let me explain something.
Tony doesn't buy anything. It's free 99.
I bought this.

Chapter 4: What features does the Vortex Strike Eagle 1-10 FFP offer?
At least we know. So I guess we're to what we did in firearms since Dave is kind of a guest.
They've got some kick-ass bags, too. Tool bags.
Yeah, but since Dave's a guest, I guess we'll let him talk first. I mean, you guys, if you've listened before, you know Dave anyway, so it's not like he's a new person for you guys just listening, so.
No, no, no, exactly. No, he's part of the family.
Pretty much. And, you know, I didn't have to tell him he pretty much can be on whenever he likes. He knows that anyway.
I mean, I can't abuse it with the wife between if I hop on here and I'm doing my show and then Thursdays I try and go shoot on Thursdays. Can't do all three of those in a week.
This time you can at least use it as it's work.
Oh, that's exactly what I told her. I was like, I'm going to be on here because High Point's sponsoring now, so I've got to be off the first one. She's like, okay, cool. Because I'm probably shooting Thursday as well.
Yeah, I do my own shit show. Live fire. Yeah, if you like movies and guns and then a North Carolina redneck and just loves to talk trash, that's the show for you.

Chapter 5: What is the significance of the Element Optics Seeker?
Is there a good case?
I wouldn't think so. I wouldn't think so. Okay. So, Dave, did you do anything cool with guns in the last couple weeks or whatever?
Yeah. I mean, you say a couple weeks. I had – well, let's say Tuesday. It's not this weekend. But the past weekend, I was at the Moon's Out match, which is a night vision brutality kind of experience. I'm talking to Tony when I drive home because I – Finished up. It was a shoot from Friday night and Saturday morning, Saturday night, Sunday morning.
I crashed for a couple hours and it was probably quarter to five. I hit the bed, drove home. I'm like, man, I got to talk to somebody. I just can't. The radio isn't doing it. I'm like, who do I know? It's Sunday morning. It's absolutely nothing going on. They'll answer the phone, talk to me just randomly. And I was like, Tony, Tony's my guy.
Tony will answer the phone and talk to me. He doesn't do anything.
Tony was going to get me going for another hour and a half or so to kind of wake me back up for the rest of my drive home. But Moons Out was a badass match, man. It's one of the coolest night vision things I've ever done between classes, my own stuff, other smaller competitions. Moons Out's like the real deal. It's cool shit, but it's tough. It's not for the faint of heart.
Yeah, yeah.
So beyond that, I took the kids out shooting this weekend. Since my dad passed, we try and take his M1 Garand out on roughly around his birthday. But life happens. It ends up later. So weather was shitty. So we finally went out this Sunday. It was like 70 degrees. And Mason and I ended up doing bill drills with it.

Chapter 6: How does the Smith & Wesson Performance Center Equalizer perform?
My wife did a bill drill with it. My daughter, she just likes to stand in between me while I hold the gun. She'll just rip shots off till the clip pings out of it. She thinks that's fun.
Watch the clip go flying in here.
How's Mason doing with the 1022? Is he saving up, adding anything to it yet?
Hasn't added anything to it yet, but he's saving money. He's trying to hustle and work for anybody he can to save up some money between 1022 parts and some PC components. He's saving some money right now.
That's awesome. For those who don't know, I sent Dave some Mason 1022. I don't know if it was a Boyd stock or not, but it was a god-awful... got a whole heavy wood laminate stock, but it's a great barrel to access the pencil barrel with the, with actual sites on it. And it's a, it's a good setup for him to start. And I felt really, I felt really honored to be able to give him the 10 22.
So he's, he's excited with it. He's digging it.
Nice. Nice. Yeah. Uh, what do you know what he, what kind of parts he's looking for for the 10 22?
No, we just looked through a bunch of different stocks and showed him some crazy options like a couple of different bullpup ones like Desert Tech makes a bullpup stock.
Yeah.

Chapter 7: What listener feedback is shared in this episode?
Yeah, Hightower has one, too.
I have not looked at Hightower in a while. Yeah, Hightower has a new one they just put out.
Yeah, I remember you saying something about it, Tony, a while back. well yeah he sent it to me i actually have to install it there i'm a shit i forgot that well now you know it looks like the high point one almost imagine that right yeah right yeah that's cool uh so rob since you're you're back did you do anything
Yeah, I worked this weekend.
Oh.
Yeah, I did a lot of that good crap. And that'll probably be my response for the next month and a half.
Okay, okay. Well, Rusty went and grabbed something. It looks like a 10-22 chassis.
I got a 10-22 chassis for you.
Is that the Timber Creek one?

Chapter 8: How can listeners support the Second is for Everyone Diversity Shoot?
Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah.
Anything bigger than 22. Uh-huh.
I did not do anything. I rode horses over the weekend. That's what I did. I shoot horses.
What were you carrying?
Honestly, I was carrying a Glock 43X that I was carrying. That lately has been my go-to gun. I've got a Goliath hoster that I carried in when our new sponsors finally got it out to me. Is it?
We had him on the show. He's a friend of mine.
We got an affiliate. I like him. I'm going to tell you what, here's the biggest thing. So like a year and a half ago, I found a little bit of religion. Can't tell half the time, but I did. It's improved my life. And when I got the hoster, I got a Bible. with it as well. I was going to make a post about it, but I didn't.
Anybody who supports 2A and also has a religious background, you cannot go wrong. Whether you're religious or not, somebody is trying to make your life better
