Chapter 1: What is discussed at the start of this section?
If you died today, would your family know what your gun collection is worth? Don't leave them guessing. Secure your legacy with our Widow's View. Sign up at Pew Locker. P-E-W dot locker. Welcome back to another episode of Let's Go Hunt, where we're not going to talk about diesels for two hours again tonight, maybe.
On the episode tonight, Mike Gonsalves, fast as broke, broke as slow, whatever that means. Dave Packard, stay-at-home dad. Sam Alexander, who knows when to walk away and can't even run. And here to say that boy ain't right in the head, I'm Vince H.,
Chapter 2: What personal gear updates do the hosts share?
Tonight, around the campfire, we're talking about stuff and things and something I did. And, yeah, we didn't update that part of the show notes. It's figurative running, sir. Oh, okay. Yeah. Running is a figure of speech. He knows when to run, but he doesn't know how.
Mine is a euphemism or whatever on slow is smooth, smooth is fast.
Oh, I thought it was a euphemism about being poor.
No.
No.
about being broken but saying fast is broken throws off the uh it throws off the cadence so you see these colors here these colors don't run motherfucker why are you holding your nipple like that that's weird my nipple's down here it's not up here if my nipple was up here on my collarbone i could probably make a lot of money
Like, hey, guys. Hey, guys, you want to see something cool? Power bone nipple guy.
Somebody, somebody, somebody somewhere is really into that.
Okay. His name was Barnum and Bailey or PT Barnum, I guess.

Chapter 3: What are the highlights of the shooting event?
There's not a lot of energy carrying with this son of a bitch right now.
That was a 300 wind mag? Mm-hmm. Takes one shot, destroys the stand. Ah, fuck. Well, at least you know I hit it.
Dang, that is not a lot of... How thick is that sign? Eighth inch aluminum, I think.
There's no way those are aluminum. They're way too fucking heavy.
They'd be a lot heavier if they were steel.
Maybe stainless. I don't know.
Well, that's because it skipped off the ground first. It dumped all its energy into the dirt.
Oh, yeah. I got a picture of the bullet, and it's all like... I'm a little fucked up. Will you take care of me forever and ever? Let's see. I'll find it. Talk amongst yourselves.
Well, that's awesome. Thousand Yard Club's pretty cool.

Chapter 4: What challenges did the hosts face during the run?
Listen, if your logic is going to ruin the joke, then I just won't make jokes anymore.
Why didn't you tell us sooner? Please go on.
Tell me more. What else you got?
That's it. That's all I'm telling you.
Well, I had something happen this last weekend. I had my running gun.
Oh, yeah, it's
did you win it all no run and go i i did but in a in an order that might surprise you um do y'all want it you want a full recap on it or it kind of highlights or do it i mean hit it what did you shoot it with did you shoot it with the with the good guy with the big guy
No, so on this one, because the distances were so short, and I don't know exactly why, they mentioned something about a potential safety concern with larger calibers. I don't see it, but they limited everybody to 7.62x39, 5.56, or 300 blackout or equivalent. So that got answered for me, but I did put the... The fiber dot on my main rifle that I normally take and run.
My 14.5... Actually, it's a 14.7 pin and weld. I sighted that in and... never actually put it above three power because I think the furthest target was 170 yards and it was a full size silhouette steel. So there was no reason to, to go higher than that. Um, But yeah, I guess I'll start at the beginning. Got there Friday morning.

Chapter 5: What are the latest updates on hunting gear and ammunition?
But so these are probably pretty slow out of this, but if you get something that'll give you, you know, 1200 or 1100 with, uh, lighter stuff, you still may get not 850, 900, 1,000 out of a 30 or 35 grain, which I think that these are pretty interesting because this is about the heaviest I've seen in the fact that they have segmented hollow points and hollow points.
Well, if Dusky endorses CCI segmented hollow points, they must be pretty damn good because that man's killed more squirrels.
Yeah, and I've seen...
They actually had to truck squirrels into Florida from other states, and it's all his fault.
Squirrel reintroduction act. Protect the squirrels. Protect.
Next thing you know, there's going to be a Karen out there yelling at him for killing squirrels.
She's out there chittering like one. Yeah, she doesn't flap her arms.
She just tucks her hands up by her chin.
CCI has also come out with two new hunting loads for .22 long rifle, both a subsonic and supersonic lead flat nose. So that's also interesting. There's another release I saw out there.

Chapter 6: What interesting developments occurred at SHOT Show?
Never mind.
My brother-in-law has one of those heritage Rough Riders with a 16 inch barrel. Yep. Decent out of there.
Speaking of shot show things. Are we going to start on that? That's what I just did.
Just a hot second. I got one more point. I shot the quiet out of my father-in-law's Henry 22 lever gun, and it is legit just the hammer falling. That's all you hear. Stupid fucking quiet.
I've done. So with my bolt action, you just hear that think of the firing pin dropping. And it's like, did that go off? It's with the suppressor on it. It is just beyond quiet.
But you have to confirm a hit that way. You know, you ain't got a squid.
Yeah, I thought the high point carbine squibbed on me. Turns out it was just, it was the rounds just not, it got jammed up into the nose of the magazine. It wouldn't feed. Yeah. Turns out, you ever seen that photo of the high point carbine with like 15 rounds that squibbed into each other? Yes.
That's, I like that picture.
Yeah.

Chapter 7: How do hunting regulations affect poaching incidents?
Like, my gun's not working.
I think I see the problem. Speaking, okay, so I mentioned revolvers briefly came up. Shot show things. Midwest Industries is putting out, you can buy it right now. It is a pistol arm brace, quotation marks, for revolvers. Am I sharing the right screen? Yes. Okay, good. Because I don't know if anyone else gets a big hard on from looking at this, but I sure do. I mean, it's a new person.
I wouldn't go hard. Does it fold underneath?
No. So it's a lot like some of the old ones. We're talking like fucking back in the late 19th century.
Yeah.
But you replace the grip, and it's for like GP100 Colts, so like basically every revolver under the sun almost. You replace the grip on it, and then the brace screws into the bottom of that grip. I'm sure it's got a couple locking lugs on it, too. And I'm just like, ugh. oh, I need one of these for my GP100.
I like it, and I think it is useful, especially for straight wall states. That's about the only use I can think of. It does fold underneath it.
I mean, yeah.
Actually, though, you probably can rotate it around to fold it. Yep. Okay, so that changes shit for me.

Chapter 8: What are the consequences of poaching and wildlife violations?
Let me whip out my revolver. I'm not sure if you can, like... I mean, it'd be fucking neato if you could flip it around.
If it had, like, a detent where it would click.
The downside of them... is they are... Expensive? Hang on. Midwest, I should... Yeah, they are $320.
That's not as bad as I thought.
It could be better. I'm not exactly excited. I'm not exactly excited about the prospect of shooting a .357 Magnum with that leverage, because that recoil is not in line with your arm. It is coming down kind of... And a weird fucking lever motion. But that is why we have no tax stamps right now or $0 tax stamps to SBR that bitch. Short barrel rifle GP 100. Oh, yeah.
I don't have a practical use for one that is purely like rule of cool because that harkens back to have you guys for a few dollars. So fistful of dollars and then there's a few dollars more Clint Eastwood. Oh, Clive, what's that?
I forget what the actor's name is, but one of the supporting characters in there pulls out a Buntline 1873 revolver and then, sure enough, fucking clips the stock to the bottom of it. Ugh.
So do they make one of those for the Heritage Roughrider? It is possible. Because the buttstock would cost three times what the gun does.
Let's see. Colt Anaconda, Python, Magnum Research, Ruger Blackhawk.
