Chapter 1: What is discussed at the start of this section?

0.031 - 13.726 Unknown

I tell you what, prices are getting high, but a fella still gotta get his guns and ammo. We go hunting for all them good deals online every day. Go to pew.deals, that's P-E-W dot D-E-A-L-S, in your internet. Now back to your podcast.

Chapter 2: What are the challenges of finding good deals on guns and ammo?

13.906 - 43.84 Dave

Deal bro, deal bro, saving you money, don't you know. And welcome to the Live Fire Media Show, episode number 27. A show of a couple guys hanging out talking trash, guns, gear, movies, and more. Hunter couldn't join us this evening, so I swapped out a Marine for a Marine. Tony Simon. That's right. The Tony Simon. He's here hanging out again with us. I'm Quokka47, aka Dave from High Point.

0

44.841 - 46.664 Dave

This is our show. What's up, buddy?

0

47.865 - 49.848 Tony Simon

Hey, man. What's going on? Thanks for giving me a call.

0

50.669 - 60.5 Dave

Yeah, dude. It was funny enough. Literally, as I was texting you this evening, just goofing off. And, uh, I realized Hunter hadn't replied to me about, um, hopping on tonight. Cause I texted him like, Oh, it's afternoon.

0

Chapter 3: How does Tony Simon introduce himself and the show's theme?

61.341 - 80.102 Dave

So I bumped him again while I was texting with you about food porn. And I was like, dude, are you good for this evening? He texted me a picture. He's still cutting a tree down. He's like, uh, I don't, I don't really want to make it. I was like, okay, no sweat. I was like, shit. Well, we probably need to record. Cause I don't have any more backlogs. We're all caught up.

0

80.122 - 84.747 Dave

And I was like, wait a minute. I'm texting Tony. Fuck it, dude. Do you want to hop on with me again?

0

86.684 - 95.915 Tony Simon

I'm like, yeah, sure. And Hunter's faking it. He ain't got no tree to cut down. He had his colonoscopy and he fell in love with him and his doctor in Mexico.

0

95.935 - 127.781 Dave

Oh, my God. Go ahead. No, I'll say last week, Zeke was on with us. Um, and I had my colonoscopy last week as well. And Nick from, we like shooting, he's been listening to us regularly. So he texts me like, I don't know what day it was after the episode went live Monday or Tuesday. And he was like, dude, you went live after colonoscopy. Uh, yeah. What else am I supposed to do, man?

0

Chapter 4: What humorous anecdotes are shared about Hunter and podcasting?

127.821 - 131.046 Dave

Oh, shit was done as well.

0

132.068 - 136.123 Tony Simon

Nick was still in the shower crying. clean his booty with a bottle brush.

0

136.203 - 137.185 Unknown

He probably was.

0

138.829 - 157.008 Tony Simon

He probably was. Not because he was upset, just because the doctor told him there wasn't a relationship. That's all it was. I still traumatize Nick, man. He'll tell you about... Eating meat and chicken wings and chat show beside him. It was great.

0

157.629 - 159.512 Dave

Is that where you talked about you ate the whole damn wing?

159.693 - 182.386 Tony Simon

Oh, I ate the whole wing, bone and all. I couldn't remember if that was you telling that to him or not. Oh, God. It was the greatest. It was like, how far will you go for a joke? I'll inconvenience the crap out of myself just so I can see the look on his face. That's awesome. You know how hard it is biting through freaking flat chicken just to see a dude get flabbergasted?

182.887 - 186.45 Tony Simon

And then I told him that's the way I always eat them.

186.47 - 196.3 Dave

He's like, holy fuck. It was crazy. Dude, you're full of shit.

196.34 - 217.132 Tony Simon

Oh, I picked up a second one. I ate two of the bitches. For zero reason. Yeah, that's right. Didn't do it for content. Didn't do any of that crap. Nope. Just fucking with my friends.

Chapter 5: What are the implications of overpaying for firearms?

3637.295 - 3660.54 Tony Simon

Yeah, somehow everybody woke up from that, right? That was a hilarious goddamn fever dream, watching all these assholes overpay for fucking Glock. You know, if you leave it alone, it just runs like a sewing machine, right? You just did all this shit to it. But anyway, so you have your $3,000 freaking handgun because the marketing has fooled you into thinking you need a cicado to defend your home.

0

3661.841 - 3670.611 Tony Simon

And you use it. What's your second gun? Yeah. What's the gun that you fall back on? Don't tell me it's a stock Glock.

0

Chapter 6: What should you consider when choosing a backup firearm?

3670.812 - 3683.435 Tony Simon

Great. Dumbass. Maybe you should have spent your money on two stock Glocks with a really good sight on it. And that's all of what? Two brand new Glocks, which is stupid, by the way, when it's many used ones out there.

0

3683.976 - 3699.824 Dave

Two brand new Glocks. I remember years ago, um, I was with the, uh, big three East, which is a media shoot event in Daytona, Florida. And it was me, Curtis, a VSO. And, um, um, damn trouble. Blank on his name.

0

Chapter 7: How do personal experiences shape views on firearms?

3699.924 - 3701.548 Dave

Arms list. Um,

0

3702.271 - 3727.485 Dave

yeah okay okay but it was it was the three of us and i think um two eight guns in gear a couple other guys and we start talking about it's like if you can still carry peace you know that is your you know your nice gun you like this gun you carry this gun because it's got your optic your laser it's light it's it's fancy it's expensive but like the reality is do you really want to drop somebody with that thing because you're going to lose it because they're going to take it it was like

0

3727.718 - 3743.402 Dave

No, I would carry like this thing that was a hell of a lot cheaper. And we started calling that, that cheaper gun, the gun you're willing to let go. So calling it like, Oh, it's your evening side piece. Like you have your EDC. It's fine. But the gun you're really going to use, it's going to let go. the eating side piece.

0

Chapter 8: What lessons can be learned from sketchy situations?

3744.283 - 3761.918 Dave

You should have that because you don't want that thing to go. You've heard me give Hunter that shit. Talks about carrying whatever expensive ass colt that he's got. I'm like, you're really going to fucking use that? Oh, fuck yeah, I will. I'm like, dude, no. I disagree. I just don't agree with that. I'll carry something like this thing.

0

3761.938 - 3777.622 Dave

I'll take my wick stick to work with me and I'll have it loaded and ready and there's my mag for it. But that's because I commute like, dude, not even 10 minutes to work. the reality is only if there's some really unsavory people at the door, am I ever grabbing a gun and having it ready really?

0

3777.642 - 3796.875 Dave

And truly, because I know where I'm going to and from work with no stops, you know, I can go and carry something absurd and stupid when I'm out and about. No, I actually am carrying probably my FN FNS nine that I has road rash. Cause it's gone fall off the truck. You know, it's something that's reliable. It's accurate. I'll get you in the fat tack holster.

0

3797.142 - 3804.894 Dave

But in the end, it's an inexpensive base stock gun that works because I know I'll let it go if something happens.

0

3805.656 - 3832.691 Tony Simon

I'd hate to lose my Gen 2 Glock from 1991. You should hate to lose that. Yeah, I haven't stippled it. The only thing it has are these triclop sights because this is the shit if you have stigmatism. Check out Triclopsites out there. Pretty much I'm talking to Nick and the other two people that listen to the show. But Triclopsites frigging rock. But this is a stock lock. I'd hate to lose it.

3833.152 - 3846.307 Tony Simon

So I got the what you call it coming. Hopefully it gets here from the Dusk X. Dusk 19X from Lone Star. Or Lone Wolf, excuse me. And that'll be my carry gun because, I mean... It's a lone wolf.

3846.367 - 3861.932 Tony Simon

It has all the cuts, and it has rough stippling, and it has cut out for optic, and I really want to start... I want to try to use an optic, but truthfully, because of stigmatism, I'd rather just use these sights right here.

3862.333 - 3884.863 Dave

Okay, so I have the stigmatism, but I'm guessing mine is pretty fucking mild, because even using something like a... like an aim point, like rifle dot, you know, it's not a problem. I still see a dot. I get what some people talk about seeing a little more starry. Yeah, it's not perfectly round. So if I look through like an EOTech, it actually is definitely better shaped than say this thing.

3885.524 - 3904.589 Dave

But even with using like the Gideon on here, like I see a dive point, this thing I see. Yeah, I mean, like it's not a perfect dot, but it's not so bad that I could still hit 100 yards easily with this thing. I guess that depends on how bad one's astigmatism is, I guess.
