explaining to Connor that last week, Chris, you got yourself in a mess with who was responsible for what. aspects of a football club when you blame the sports scientists for scouting the wrong players. That was all I was saying. Let's start at the Emirates then. Arsenal's 2-1 win against Chelsea. We'll look at it from the Arsenal point of view first of all, which I'm guessing means we start Monday night club with positivity, which doesn't happen very often. Do you think they look untouchable?
Yeah. Yeah, untouchables are a really strong word. I think they look the most ready team I've seen in a long time at this stage of a season. Usually when you look at teams at this stage of a season, they're getting up to speed and there's a few flaws here and there. They look top, top. And I think it goes down to what obviously Mikel Arteta has done over the summer, but not just like with recruitment for me. I think it's what he does on the grass. I think it must be how he makes them players better. Because the position they find themselves in the minute, not just where they are in the league or whatever that may be, I mean in terms of how they're playing. I just think they look so far ahead of everybody else.
It's unbelievable at the
minute. Do you think then, with your coaching hat on, and from a playing point of view, but when you say makes players better, are you looking Because their skills are already there, aren't they? Because they're professional footballers. So are you looking at what? Versatility, positioning, say the role of Califiori or what he's done with Havertz or even the role of Urdegaard, who were the three who were most praised yesterday. Are you looking at it tactically, what he does on the grass with them?
Yeah, and I thought last season they were fluid. I feel like they're more fluid this year. We thought of Arsenal last year as being a physical side.
