Brought back memories of actually I had a couple of flashbacks to Euro two thousand and four because that was the first city that I visited during that tournament, and it was also the first time that I'd ever driven abroad. I'd never driven abroad before I went to Porto. Uh and as you know, we we had a few uh

So I said to Enzo Moresca that 'cause obviously Manchester City have been the highest spenders in the Premier League, they you know, the Premier League with all their riches will be the envy of Europe. And I just said, you know Wha what are your expectations? And he didn't really give me a uh a worthwhile answer. He he answered it better when a Portuguese journalist asked him a similar question. 'Cause I said about the pressure, does it bring you a a certain amount of pressure?
And he said it's not a pressure, it's a privilege.
But you're right, Ian. The amount of money that the Premier League clubs spend. And I think when you look at the spending, I mean all twenty are right up there, aren't they? In terms of all of the clubs across Europe. And I think that translates itself into the Champions League. Uh certainly in the league phase.

And uh that is that is why they're so powerful. And and my feeling is when it gets more difficult later in the season, I do think that that is part of The fact that they're they are then up against the other super clubs, but also I think that's where the the intensity of the Premier League does kick in a little bit there, which is why I think they've not been as successful in terms of winning the trophy as as you might expect, yeah?
