Chapter 1: What is President Trump's plan to address domestic terrorism?
He wants to dismantle domestic terror networks. I'm Dave Anthony, Fox News, and President Trump hopes to do it by executive order days after designating Antifa a major terrorist group on the left. He's got public sentiment on his side when it comes to addressing politically motivated violence. 71% nationally say it's a very serious problem.
22% say somewhat serious in this new brand new Quinnipiac poll. Fox News, Peter Deuce. Once this order is signed, a challenge for law enforcement is going to be that Antifa doesn't have a headquarters or a central leader. And so they're going to have to figure out how to confront them as a domestic terror network.
This is the day after shooting the FBI calls targeted at an immigration enforcement facility in Dallas, Texas. Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons just told Brian Kilmeade's Fox radio show. He fired so many rounds into the building itself, right? And then he didn't even know there were detainees in that vehicle. He was just shooting because they were ICE vehicles.
Detainees weren't even out of the vehicle. One was killed, two others critically wounded. The gunman then killed himself with an anti-ICE message found on a bullet from the rooftop where he fired. Next hour, President Trump will host Turkey's leader at the White House days after President Erdogan was critical of President Trump's attempts to stop Russia's war in Ukraine, telling Fox. Did it end?
It still goes on. Similarly... He said, I will finish the war in Gaza. He didn't? No. Well, the president's called out Turkey and other NATO countries for continuing to buy Russian oil, helping fund the war in Ukraine. The president also said this week that NATO countries should shoot down Russian planes that violate their airspace. We learned of two more near us.
Two Russian long-range strategic bombers entering the Alaskan air defense identification zone. It comes after Russia was recently blamed for incursions into Estonia and Poland's airspace. The price of oil is down almost a dollar, down from $65 a barrel. And gas is down a penny today. AAA's national average for regular $3.15 a gallon. There are four days left in baseball's regular season with some good pennant raises. New York and Toronto tied for first place in the American League East after the Yankees won and the Blue Jays lost last night.
Cleveland's a game up on Detroit after the Guardians beat the Tigers, who blown a 15-and-a-half game lead in the AL Central. Seattle won the AL West. Fly ball to right field! Number 16! Cal Raleigh hit two home runs to power the Mariners past Colorado to win the division on Roots Sports Northwest. Raleigh just two homers shy of the American League record of 62 in a season.
