Eight other people injured at a waterfront restaurant in Southport, North Carolina, where about 9.30 last night, a boater pulled up to the dock at the American Fish Company and started shooting at the diners. He then fled up the Intracoastal Waterway, Southport's Police Chief Todd Coring saying.
November will be eight years that I've been the chief, and I don't recall a time that we've had an active shooter situation like this, so it's definitely a bad night for Southport. A person matching the shooter's description was later spotted loading the boat at a marina on a nearby island. The Coast Guard detained that person. He's now in custody.
Tropical storm alerts are up along the southeast U.S. coast as a looming tropical storm system is expected to eventually become Hurricane Imelda. Fox Weather's Britta Merwin. We've been tracking what was potential tropical cyclone number nine this morning. It is a full-blown tropical depression. This will eventually become Hurricane Imelda.
35-mile-per-hour winds really causing a lot of intense weather for the Bahamas this morning. The issue is how slowly this will move. The good news is no longer looking at the potential for a landfall. Very much appreciated. But unfortunately, with the slow movement, we're going to have a Category 1 hurricane right off the East Coast all the way through Thursday.
This is going to really produce not only heavy rain at the coast, which we are already tracking, but we could see some intense beach conditions as well. Meanwhile, Hurricane Humberto has intensified into a powerful Category 5 storm. It's bringing dangerous surf and rip currents to the northern leeward islands, the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and Bermuda.
Russia launching a massive strike on Kiev and other Ukrainian cities overnight. Ukraine's President Zelensky says the strike was composed of nearly 500 drones and more than 40 missiles, which he calls a deliberate targeted terror against ordinary cities. This is Denmark and other countries in the region have all reported drone sightings in their airspace. America is listening to Fox News.

Sherrill is saying she was only punished for not turning in other classmates who cheated. She claims the Trump administration played a role in releasing her private records.
Sherrill is also dealing with questions about her finances, Republicans claim she has tripled her net worth during her time in Congress, making around $7 million from stock trades. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries says he would support a criminal investigation into the unauthorized and illegal release of Mikey Sherrill's military records. I'm Jack Daly. This is Fox News.
