What storm is impacting the I-95 corridor and how are officials responding?
Getting ready for the big storm, I'm Roger Stern, Fox News. Millions of Americans bracing for historic amounts of snow across the I-95 corridor. New York Governor Kathy Hochul declared a state of emergency for tomorrow morning in many counties.
It's time to brace for impact, New Yorkers. Two days ago, we were expecting a run-of-the-mill February storm, something we're used to handling, very accustomed to. Just a little snow, maybe moderate disruption, really nothing to get too excited about. But over the last 24 hours, this forecast has shifted dramatically.
The Big Apple is under a blizzard warning for the first time in nearly a decade. More than 2,200 flights have already been canceled for tomorrow and Monday as the Northeast prepares for widespread power outages thanks to winds up to 70 miles an hour. President Trump boosting tariffs across the world even more despite a Supreme Court ruling against him. Here's Fox's Jill Nader to explain.
When the Supreme Court ruled the International Emergency Economic Powers Act didn't give President Trump the power to impose tariffs, he went elsewhere. Under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974, he can raise tariffs for a limited time. Late Friday, he imposed a 10 percent tariff, but Saturday he said he's raising them to 15 percent.
And what about the money already collected under the previous tariffs? On Fox, Republican Senator John Kennedy put a positive spin on it. If he gives back $300 billion worth of tariff money to the business community in America, this economy is going to roar, man. California Governor Gavin Newsom wants refunds for American businesses and families. In Washington, Jill Nadeau, Fox News.
