Progress, but no deal. I'm Lisa Lucera, Fox News. That's the assessment from Oman's foreign minister after another round of indirect talks between the U.S. and Iran over its nuclear program.
The goal of these talks is to avert a war and to get Iran to pull back on its nuclear program. After several hours of indirect discussion in Geneva, Switzerland, mediators said creative and positive ideas were exchanged. If President Trump chooses to attack Iran, the Iranians have warned that all U.S. military bases in the Middle East would become legitimate targets.
A devastating war involving the whole region, warns Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi. Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff is leading the U.S. delegation.
Fox's Jonathan Savage. The U.S. military used a laser to shoot down a Customs and Border Protection drone. That's according to some members of Congress. Democrat Rick Larson says he was notified about the incident through official channels. The FAA has closed Fort Hancock airspace near El Paso, Texas.
Just over two weeks ago, the FAA shut down the El Paso airport and the surrounding area after another use of an anti-drone laser. This time, commercial flights are not affected. Tomorrow it's her husband's turn, but today former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sat before the House Oversight Committee about Jeffrey Epstein. Clinton spoke to reporters afterwards.
