A criminal investigation launched. I'm Sue Guzman, Fox News. U.S. troops are on standby as President Trump threatens to invoke the Insurrection Act to deal with protests in Minnesota. Fox's Steve Harrigan is in Minneapolis and has the latest.
They're moving into churches as well as stores. Several dozen roared into a church screaming, ice out, ice out. They got in the face.

Chapter 3: What are the implications of the Federal Reserve's involvement in the Supreme Court case?
Emmanuel Macron is calling on Brussels to use what they call the trade bazooka on us, which blocks the U.S. from accessing some EU markets. But the prime minister of Norway is trying to de-escalate things, writing, Dear Donald, we believe we all should work to take this down.

Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell will be part of attending the Supreme Court's oral arguments Wednesday in a case involving the attempted firing of Fed Governor Lisa Cook. It is an unusual show of support by the central bank chair, the high court considering whether President Trump can fire Cook, who was appointed by former President Joe Biden.
Federal labor filings show the country's two largest teachers unions donated $3 million each to leftist organizations during the past election.
Chapter 5: What extreme weather conditions are affecting the Midwest?
Here's Fox's Alexandria Hoff.
The National Education Association, or NEA, sent $155,000 to Tides Advocacy, an organization Fox News Digital reports has been tied to anti-Israel protests. And $300,000 was gifted to the 1630 Fund, which is currently the subject of a House Republican investigation, framing it as a powerful liberal dark money group.
But when it comes to union spending, the focus is on so-called soft money, or funds used for advocacy but not sent directly to a political candidate, which is prohibited unless done through a separate arm. The most recent labor filings for the NEA and the American Federation of Teachers show no substantial donations to any Republican-aligned groups.
According to the Pew Research Center, the majority of K-12 teachers identify with or lean towards the Democratic Party. Millions in the Midwest are dealing with bone-chilling temperatures. Fox Weather's Robert Ray is in ice-cold Chicago.
It is just downright dangerously cold. Wind chills minus 25 and 30 and Lake Michigan quite literally freezing over in front of our eyes. An arctic lake smoke, as it's known, making its way all across the shores of Chicago. The thing is, this has been going on for days.
We've had snarling at the airports, lake effect snow, squalls that have come in in over a dozen states, and millions of people that are in the throngs of this cold weather system that's happening.
I'm Sue Gossman. This is Fox News.
