The weather here is as extreme as it gets in the winter up in the upper peninsula of Michigan.
This has been going on for over 24 hours, and we have another 24 hours ahead of us of these conditions.
up to hurricane force winds.
That's 75 miles per hour wind gusts.
We're going through at least 40 to 50 mile an hour wind gusts right now and whiteout conditions, a full-on blizzard.
Now they may get double that amount before it's over with almost hurricane force wind gusts.
We're going to be in this scenario until at least early tomorrow morning.
And we've already been in it for 24 plus hours.
So Lake Superior with 20 to 30 foot waves crashing in on the icy shores already.
Roadways that are compromised with blizzard conditions.
Two people lost their life here, two others injured.
We are told that emergency officials made their way across this area looking for those that might be injured through the night, Friday into Saturday morning.
And this is not the only place, unfortunately.
On Thursday night, another tornado came and killed a mother and daughter in western Oklahoma, bringing the total of the dead to four in the state.
And it's not just Oklahoma.
Michigan getting a preliminarily EF3 tornado that's 150 mile per hour winds or more.
And that may be upgraded, killing four and injuring dozens.
Two people lost their life here, two others injured.
We are told that emergency officials made their way across this area looking for those that might be injured through the night, Friday into Saturday morning.
