Looking for Nancy Guthrie with a signal sniffer. I'm Anne Carrick, Fox News. Authorities preparing to use a signal sniffer as the search for the missing mother of NBC host Savannah Guthrie continues. Fox's Alicia Acuna is in Tucson.
The scanner picks up on the Bluetooth signal coming from the pacemaker as it's trying to sync with its transmitter or phone app. But the pacemaker doesn't have a locator, so it doesn't work like, say, our phone or devices that have GPS. Fox News Digital reports investigators are using a Bluetooth scanner placed on the bottom of the aircraft to detect Nancy's pacemaker.
This as FBI and sheriffs conducted a court-issued search warrant on a home about two miles from Nancy Guthrie's home on Friday. Three people were detained at this location and another, a man, was detained at a traffic stop at this Culver's restaurant. The Range Rover he was driving was searched and towed away by authorities. All four people were ultimately released.
