What recent military actions are taking place in Iran?
An attack on Iran. This is a Fox News alert. I'm Paul Stevens, Fox News. The U.S. and Israel joining forces early today, launching airstrikes across Iran this morning. It's called Operation Epic Fury.
There are alerts in central Israel, close to the Dead Sea, outside of Jerusalem, of a wave of Iranian drones that are headed toward this country. And it gives you a sense that the Iranians are trying to get whatever they can past Israel. Israeli air defense systems.
So far, they have been unsuccessful, firing dozens of ballistic missiles at this country, not just at Tel Aviv, but at Haifa in the north of Israel, at Jerusalem, and even in the south in the desert at a city called Beersheba. As we look at what's going to take place in the hours ahead, Israeli air defense systems remain on high alert.
Millions of people here are in bomb shelters, and Israel's military says they are calling up 70,000 reservists, mostly to man air defense systems.

Top House Democrat Hakeem Jeffries calls Iran a bad actor that must be confronted for support of terrorism and nuclear ambitions, but adds absent exigent circumstances. The administration must seek congressional authorization. The top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, Jim Himes, was briefed by Secretary of State Marco Rubio and says this is a war of choice with no strategic endgame.
Republican leaders are applauding President Trump for taking action against the Iranian regime. Senate Majority Leader John Thune says he looks forward to officials briefing all senators. A War Powers Resolution vote is set in the House next week. In Washington, Jared Halpern, Fox News.
Nuclear talks did continue this month with special envoys to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. President Trump saying yesterday he was not happy with how those talks were proceeding. America's listening to Fox News.
