What extreme winter weather is affecting the U.S. right now?
Snow, ice, and brutal cold. I'm Sue Gosman, Fox News. Wild winter weather continuing to pummel a good portion of the U.S. this morning. While the bulk of the accumulation has already occurred in many places, West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrissey says a lot of customers risk losing power as attempts drop overnight.
Water on the trees and on the power lines and as the weather gets a little bit colder tonight and freezes, that's where we have some concern. So we're monitoring very closely. We're trying to make sure that we're clearing up everything that we can uh before the next round comes and the water on the road freezes.
New York's LaGuardia Airport was closed for much of Sunday. Nearly eleven thousand five hundred flights wound up being canceled because of the relentless snow and ice.
