Chapter 1: What happened in Northern California regarding the avalanche rescue?
A race against time in Northern California. I'm Ted Lindner, Fox News. Ten skiers are missing, six awaiting rescue after an avalanche in Northern California's Tahoe National Forest. Speaking of Fox 2, Nevada County Sheriff Russell Green discussing the rescue effort.
It's in a mountainous area. It's very limited visibility. It's hard to access. We're doing so with snow cats, with people on skis. We have some snowmobilers on standby, so we're doing the best we can to get there, but it The conditions are making it very challenging.
The region experiencing some of the worst winter weather conditions in years. The search continues for the missing 84-year-old mother of NBC's Today co-host Savannah Guthrie. This after Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos got DNA results from a glove found in Nancy Guthrie's neighborhood. Fox's Jonathan Hunt with more.
The sheriff concluded a briefing in which he was told that bad news, no match in the FBI database for the DNA found on that glove that was discovered a couple of miles away from Nancy Guthrie's home. The DNA on the glove that was found two miles away was submitted for CODIS, and I just heard that CODIS had no hits. No hits on the DNA found in the glove? Correct.
So you are no closer to a suspect as a result of the DNA test, at least? As a result of CODIS. So then I asked the sheriff about the DNA that he had already told us had been found inside the house. He said they got no match on CODIS for that either.
And U.S. Capitol Police arresting an 18-year-old man who hopped out of his vehicle and ran towards the west side of the Capitol building with a shotgun. The man drove in a Mercedes SUV and was ordered to the ground when police saw him. Capitol Police Chief Michael Sullivan said the man was wearing a tactical vest and gloves and had a Kevlar helmet and gas mask inside the vehicle.

Chapter 2: What updates are there on the missing mother of Savannah Guthrie?
The tributes pouring in for the civil rights icon.
President Trump says he knew the Reverend Jesse Jackson long before he became president, describing the civil rights leader as very gregarious and someone who truly loved people. The president says for years Jackson's Rainbow Coalition worked out of the Trump building in lower Manhattan.
President Trump says he also responded to Jackson's calls for criminal justice reform and long-term funding for historically black colleges and universities, accusing previous presidents of not trying. At the White House, Jared Halpern, Fox News.
President Trump firing off a post on True Social telling those responsible for a massive sewage spill into the Potomac River to get to work to fix it immediately. The president calling out Maryland, Virginia, and D.C., but it's not completely clear who's responsible for the mess. Blame for the sewage spill has turned political between federal, state, and local entities.
The president saying in his post that if those responsible can't clean it up, quote, they have to call me and ask politely to get it fixed. And a federal judge has ruled immigration and customs enforcement cannot re-detain Kilmar Abrego Garcia because a 90-day detention period's expired and the government's got no viable plan for deporting him.
Abrego Garcia's got an American wife and child and has lived in Maryland for years, but he immigrated to the U.S. illegally as a teen. In 2019, an immigration judge ruled he could not be deported to El Salvador because he faced danger there from a gang that had threatened his family. By mistake, he was deported there anyway last year. I'm Ted Lindner.
