But Mamdani still wants a department focused on responding to mental health crises. Five states are now suing the Trump administration over a freeze in child care funding.
This is a baseless and cruel and political attack on the most vulnerable in our society.
California's Rob Bonta, one of several Democrat attorneys general, accusing the administration of making an illegal and unconstitutional move. The administration pausing funding as fraud claims are investigated.
