The Supreme Court will consider whether the EPA's approval of Roundup without a cancer warning should rule out those state court claims. Bayer, which bought Roundup from Monsanto in 2018, disputes the cancer claims but has set aside $16 billion to settle cases. It has also tried to persuade states to pass laws barring the suits, and Georgia and North Dakota have done so.
