The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the Isla Ray brand magnetic wireless chargers were sold for $15 from June of 24 until this past November, but can explode while in use, posing a fire and burn hazard. They came in white, pink and purple and attach magnetically to the back of the phone. Shoppers are advised to immediately stop using them and request a refund. But do not throw this lithium-ion device in the trash or general recycling. It poses a fire risk. So check with your municipal hazardous waste collection center.
