Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
Here we go again. I'm Dave Anthony, Fox News. Funding runs out for much of the Department of Homeland Security at midnight.
So this would now be the third government shutdown in just five months.
And Fox's Madeline Rivera reports it'll be a partial shutdown affecting only Homeland Security.
ICE will likely face a limited impact because the agency still receives funding through the one big beautiful bill. There are other agencies within DHS, though, that would be more affected.
Chapter 2: What are the implications of the Department of Homeland Security funding running out?
That includes essential workers who'll go without pay again, like TSA agents at airport security. And this is all about ICE, as Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer demands immigration enforcement reform in new DHS funding.
Americans are watching what's happened in neighborhood after neighborhood across the country. They know it's wrong. They know it's excessive.
The Senate vote for new funding failed. The same day, Borders are Tom Holman announced an end to the controversial ICE operation in Minnesota that led to big protests and two deadly shootings.
There are some issues here. We fixed those issues. We've had great success with this operation. And we're leaving Minnesota safer.
Classes are canceled at South Carolina State University. After a shooting last night that put the campus on lockdown for hours, two people were killed, one wounded, no word on a suspect. It's day 13 of the Nancy Guthrie search. A glove found inside her home is being examined. And Fox's Matt Finn has more in Tucson, Arizona, on the man seen around the time the 84-year-old was kidnapped.
We now have an estimated description of that horrifying mass figure seen right here at the front door of Nancy Guthrie's home in that arched entryway behind me. The FBI is now calling that person a suspect. They estimate that he is between 5'9 and 5'10. They are calling him a male. The reward for the information leading to an arrest has been increased to $100,000.
There was a SpaceX launch earlier this morning. A four-person crew now going to the International Space Station weeks after the last crew was evacuated early with a medical evacuation. America's listening.
