He's replacing his father. I'm Dave Anthony, Fox News.
Iran's new supreme leader now in charge. Mostaba Khamenei has been chosen as the successor to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed in U.S.-Israeli airstrikes on Iran. The 56-year-old has never held government office, nor has he given public speeches or interviews, but it's believed he's close to the powerful Revolutionary Guard.
President Trump has told Fox News he's not happy with the appointment.
That's Fox's Jonathan Savage.
Chapter 2: What impact does Iran's new supreme leader have on the current conflict?
It is day 10 of the war.
We do know that the Iranians are continuing to take heavy incoming fire from the Israelis who launched new strikes against IRGC headquarters and also besieged leadership around the capital of Tehran. They're looking to put as much pressure on the regime as possible.
Fox's Trey Engston, Tel Aviv, where sirens went off again this morning. Warning of more Iranian attacks.
Now, the Iranians are continuing their missile launches against Israel and Gulf countries over the weekend. We saw as some of those missiles soared through the skies of Tel Aviv, causing significant damage on the ground below as cluster munitions were used.
It's now seven American troops killed in the conflict as the military announces the death in an Iranian attack last week. And all this keeps driving oil prices up 12 percent this morning, topping $100 a barrel for the first time since 2022. But Energy Secretary Chris Wright tells Fox News Sunday this will be temporary.
It's just fear and perception, the unknown, that this could be some long, you know, drawn-out crisis, but it won't be.
The gas pump heads up 48 cents, a price the past week. There have been searches at homes in Pennsylvania and New Jersey in a terror investigation after another bomb found in New York City following a weekend protest against Mayor Zoran Mamdami led to a counter-protest and an attack with bombs thrown.
Federal sources say the FBI now has two people in custody and they are being interviewed. Their names are Amir Balad and Ibrahim Kayyumi. Our Bill Malugin has learned that Balad's parents are naturalized U.S. citizens from Turkey and Kayyumi's parents are naturalized U.S. citizens from Afghanistan.
Fox's Madeline Rivera. America's listening to Fox News.

A state trooper is being mourned in Pennsylvania after a traffic stop turned deadly.

Police say the suspected gunman exited his vehicle after fatally shooting the officer and shot and killed himself. The investigation continues. Ted Lindner, Fox News.
We mentioned oil and gas prices surging. That could have stocks plunging again. As markets fall in Europe and Asia, Dow futures are down nearly 600 points after the Dow's 3% drop in selling last week. For the most admired man in American motorsports, Ryan Blaney wins for Ford and Roger Penske.
Courtesy FS1, it's Blaney's second straight win in Phoenix and caps a weekend in which Roger Penske's team celebrated 60 years of racing with a sweep in the desert. In a unique IndyCar-NASCAR doubleheader, Team Penske's Joseph Newgarden won Saturday's Indy race before Blaney took the checkered flag on Sunday. I'm Tim McMaster, Fox News.
