Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
They have 17 hours left. I'm Dave Anthony, Fox News, to approve new funding in Congress to keep the government operating. We're headed to a shutdown because the Democrats won't do the right thing. I hope they change their mind.
Vice President Vance, after a meeting at the White House with congressional leaders in both parties that did not lead to what Republicans demand, the seven-week funding extension the House already passed.
Chapter 2: What are the latest updates on the government funding situation?
We are not going to support a partisan Republican spending bill that continues to gut the health care of everyday Americans. Period. Full stop.
House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries demands provisions to extend health care subsidies set to expire at the end of the year. Before that meeting, President Trump tried to broker a peace deal for Gaza. Ending the war immediately, getting all of our hostages back. It's a 20-point plan that would also put in place a temporary Gaza government, not run by Hamas or the Palestinian Authority.
Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu supports it, but if Hamas rejects the plan, he says they'll finish the job in Gaza militarily.
This can be done the easy way. Or it can be done the hard way.
But it will be done. This morning, President Trump will act as commander-in-chief at a big military meeting with his war secretary.

On Wall Street, stock futures are falling the day after gains for the Dow and the Nasdaq. On Monday night football, a doubleheader.
A matchup between winless teams went Miami's way, but the Dolphins' first victory of the season came at a cost. Wide receiver Tyreek Hill was carted off the field in the third quarter of a 27-21 win over the Jets, with head coach Mike McDaniel saying the eight-time Pro Bowler was diagnosed with a dislocated left knee.
It was a gruesome injury, with Hill's leg bent at an ugly angle after making a catch near the sideline. In the second game of the night, the Broncos dominated the Bengals 28-3 to get to 2-2 on the season. Denver's defense smothered Cincinnati all game long, with the Bengals gaining just 159 yards and nine first downs. Joe Morgan, Fox News.
Today, a baseball quadruple header to start the playoffs. Detroit versus Cleveland is the first game, followed by San Diego against the Chicago Cubs, and then a battle of two rivals, the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees. The late game is in Los Angeles. The Dodgers take on the Cincinnati Reds. I'm Dave Anthony. This is Fox News.
