3,500 sailors and Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit arrived in the Arabian Sea this weekend on the USS Tripoli amphibious assault ship and USS New Orleans amphibious transport dock. Neither has yet crossed through the Strait of Hormuz and are not yet in a position to seize any islands. 1,500 paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne began arriving in the Middle East Sunday.
Not enough, experts say, for a sustained ground invasion.

A new tax on high-income earners in Washington state.
Governor Bob Ferguson, a Democrat, said the so-called millionaire's tax will benefit Washington residents and ensure... That they can rely on the things that state government provides on in a way that the wealthiest in our state have not been contributing to and now will. Ferguson said that includes health care, education, and lower sales taxes.
The law exempts the first million in earnings, but taxes everything else at 9.9%. Ferguson said he knows what's coming. Public conversation around this, right, in the days and weeks and months ahead.
