Border Patrol agents stopped a car, and that's when agents identified themselves as officers to the people in the car, both of whom are believed to have been affiliated with the criminal Venezuelan gang Trende Aragua. Now, allegedly, after being contacted by cops, they tried to run over the agents. DHS tells Fox the agents only fired... because they feared for their safety.

That's Fox's Kevin Cork, and it's similar to the self-defense argument in Minneapolis, where Homeland Security says the woman shot dead Wednesday had been blocking an ICE operation and attempted to drive into the officer, which protesters dispute.
