Lawyers in the DOJ's Civil Rights Division were reportedly told in the days following the deadly shooting of Rene Good in Minneapolis they would not be part of any investigation. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanch confirmed that in a statement saying there is no basis for it. Federal officials have said they believe the ICE agent was defending himself against the Domestic Terrorism Act.
