What recent developments have occurred in the Guthrie family ransom case?
The Guthrie family responds to a new ransom message. I'm Kathleen Maloney. Fox News. Police and the FBI returned to Nancy Guthrie's Tucson home after a second ransom letter was sent to a local TV station. Fox's Jonathan Hunt with the latest.
Our cameras caught two law enforcement officers walking into the building carrying what appeared to be some sort of map or blueprint. They spent about 30 minutes inside the sheriff's office here and then they left again carrying that map. or blueprint. This all comes after a flurry of activity yesterday at Nancy Guthrie's home.
We saw, for instance, agents on top of a building at that home, an agent removing what looked as if it was some sort of security camera. They were also walking across the entirety of the roof for quite some time yesterday. They put a ladder up by the garage from which they removed a vehicle late last night.
And today, Savannah Guthrie releasing a statement saying the family will pay a ransom if Nancy is safely returned. Extreme life-threatening cold slamming the Northeast. Fox Weather's Brandi Campbell is in Boston.
We could see another few inches of snow and some of the coldest temperatures of this season. Temperatures could dip into the single digits overnight. And as you would imagine, this type of weather causes havoc out on the roads. So the Massachusetts Department of Transportation transportation. They're just asking people, take it slow if you head out.
And if you're flying, we are already seeing a rise in cancellations and delays, as many airports in the Northeast are also having to de-ice airplanes before they take off.
