This comes after 21 hours of high stakes negotiations in Islamabad, Pakistan. The peace talks were aimed at preserving a two week old ceasefire in the Iran war now entering its seventh week. Vance cited a lack of commitment from Iran to abandon nuclear weapons development. Iranian state media blamed, quote, excessive demands from the U.S. for the breakdown.

The San Francisco Chronicle first broke the story of an anonymous ex-snapper who claims Swalwell sexually assaulted her while she was intoxicated, once when she worked for him, and again years later. Swalwell's attorney has since sent a cease and desist letter to the woman for making false statements.
Since that initial Chronicle report, three additional women also spoke to CNN with sexual misconduct allegations, including accusations that the congressman sent explicit text messages and nude photos.
In a video posted to social media, Congressman Swalwell is denying the allegations. He says they're politically motivated. He remains at this moment in the race for California's governor.
