President Trump addressing the nation about the military operation in Iran says the economy, though, is well positioned to handle the challenge of finally dealing with Iran. The president detailed the urgency of Iran's nuclear threat. For years, everyone has said that Iran cannot have nuclear weapons. But in the end, those are just words if you're not willing to take action.
Although the president described this operation as nearly over, he also forecast aggressive strikes over the next two to three weeks, including hits to Iran's oil and energy plants if no deal is reached.

45-year-old Andrew Emerald is accused of writing a string of Facebook posts threatening to kill the president, including hanging him from the Statue of Liberty. Emerald waving a sword at FBI agents as they try to arrest him Wednesday. Several bladed weapons were later found in a search of his home in Great Barrington.

There were 202,000 new claims. Continuing claims those remaining on benefits rose to 1.84 million. Outplacement firm Challenger Gray and Christmas says U.S.-based employers announced more than 60,000 job cuts in March, more than February, but down 78% from last March when more than 275,000 cuts were announced, partly because of federal layoffs.
