Don't know if it's hot or cold in there.

0

469.63 - 483.066 Deontay Kyle

You don't know what the weather like. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I guarantee you one thing. It ain't as cold as Minnesota. Goddamn. Man, Lil Yachty was on to something when he dropped that track. I put that shit in my bones, son. Yeah, that was quite the experience.

0

483.086 - 483.947 Unknown

Yeah, Mall of America.

488.833 - 514.248 Deontay Kyle

I'm not going to hold you. That's an overly big, like, why is that mall so big? Yeah. It don't need to be that big. There's Auntie Anne's on each floor. I ain't gonna lie, it's just too much going on. Yeah, there's a lot going on there. First of all, we started our week in Los Angeles. We did. We was out there for a few days. Go see the good brother Kevin Fredericks. Yeah, yeah.

514.288 - 543.2 Deontay Kyle

AKA Kevin on stage. Yeah. The Good Grief show. Amazing show. Great show, man. Then the next day, we get a call from the good brother Van Lathan. Yeah. Van Lathan say, hey, my mom's in town. You're in town. She's making gumbo. Would you like some gumbo? Of course. Yes. Of course. Yes. And we had to do a mock. We did a mock versus with 50 Cent and T.I. on live.

543.24 - 545.602 Deontay Kyle

That's why y'all got to tap into the lives, man. That joint was lit, bro.

545.622 - 545.723 Unknown

Yeah.

Chapter 3: What insights are shared about the NAACP Awards?

2465.445 - 2497.336 Deontay Kyle

Because how else are you going to get people to buy into a system that they're skeptical of if you don't show them that there is success and conformity? But this is also why the entertainers of yesteryear were so revolutionary. You don't get a James Brown, I'm black and I'm proud if he worried about conforming and he bought his own jet. Living in America.

0

2498.578 - 2523.512 Deontay Kyle

Now the fall off, it happens to the best of them. You don't get the Olympics. See, you niggas is at the Olympics with the hockey team giving yourself a champagne shower. My Olympians won first and second place and raised their fists up in the air. Because being a radical and a revolutionary is a default setting for most black people in America.

0

2523.532 - 2554.419 Deontay Kyle

Because we've always been skeptical of the system because we knew this system wasn't never meant to serve us. Meant to persecute us. Meant to brutalize us. But not to serve us. So being empathetic to the plight of others and pro-oppressed people is a great posture to take. It is a great position for the ally, but it's often performative.

0

2555.761 - 2565.456 Deontay Kyle

So while it may be a good position to be an ally and pro-oppressed people, it's often a performance that leads black people to fight their fights alone.

0

2567.292 - 2601.091 Deontay Kyle

I don't think I heard too many people, especially white people, doing anything but making excuses for the white man with Tourette's that happened to call Delroy Lindo and Michael B. Jordan the hard R. And it said that that wasn't the first time that happened that night. Now, there were other slurs, homophobic slurs said that night. Those got bleeped out. They were a man that said free Palestine.

2601.111 - 2638.387 Deontay Kyle

That happened to get bleeped out. Nigger. Leave it in. Leave it in. Then we get to the contrast is the NAACP awards. These men were celebrated. Celebrated rightfully so. Celebrated by their own people. Which is why I believe we should be like 2026. Yeah. To 2027, any award shows, that's not our shit. We should be boycotting. Hell, you win, they might not air it anyway. We should be boycotting.

2640.829 - 2673.699 Deontay Kyle

But to be woke, to be woke, staying woke, regardless of how they try to bastardize the term, is a default setting for most black people. and a moral position for allies. Even if it is performative, it is a great posture to have. But the moral position is only respected by moral people. So to take a moral position means that you need morality on the opposite end to receive that.

2675.501 - 2706.003 Deontay Kyle

And that's why we struggle to see tangible progress, but we're constantly massaged by symbolic victories. Because our government and the people who control policy and legislation are largely immoral and largely can suppress the access to change. So we'll massage you with some symbolic victories. We'll name the street Martin Luther King Jr.

2706.264 - 2740.951 Deontay Kyle

Boulevard while trying to undo everything he fought for on the civil rights. And worse than that, Most oppressed people have an idea of freedom that puts them in the seat of the oppressor. Most oppressed people's idea of freedom is being an oppressor. And this is largely the reason for our diaspora wars. Because what we're really arguing about is Who's got more culture?

Chapter 4: How can individuals survive in a war machine?

2832.722 - 2849.545 Deontay Kyle

You know what? Put your tongue in the guillotine. We'll let you keep the head. We'll let you keep your head. But since you got so much stupid shit to say, and you're not using your fucking cabeza, we're just going to put the tongue in there. Little baby guillotine. Chop that tongue off.

0

Chapter 5: What steps lead to radicalization in a war machine?

2849.965 - 2872.986 Deontay Kyle

Shut you the fuck up. Shut you right the fuck up. talking about it's pronounced it's pronounced you ain't finna do shit it's pronounced you a scary ass bitch that's the pronunciation that i heard that's what i heard when you said it's pronounced guillotine what i heard is i'm i'm a little scary ass bitch i don't want to talk about this this makes me uncomfortable let's talk about grammar guys

0

2876.56 - 2892.367 Deontay Kyle

Oh, yeah, nigga, we back. Nigga, fuck you talking about. Nigga, you thought, oh, shit. Oh, you thought it was just interviews, nigga? We back. We back. It'll be back to interviews next week.

0

2892.387 - 2892.968 Big Ice Cup Cat

But for right now?

0

2893.629 - 2922.237 Deontay Kyle

Oh, we back. It's me and motherfucking Big Ice Cup. United States soldiers, if you on an army base overseas and you within a fucking country or two of Iran, keep your eyes on the skies, brother. You know what I'm saying?

0

Chapter 6: What does it mean to recognize trauma in a war machine?

2922.277 - 2953.724 Deontay Kyle

All my brothers that joined the military for some stability, some structure in Camaro, it's game time. This nigga just got on the news and said, some of y'all gonna have to die. Seen a young lady post the lunch. They giving out crab legs. You know, Godspeed. And draft Barron Trump. Big Cat. Yo. What we talking about, man? I got some more shit to talk to you niggas, man.

0

2953.744 - 2985.324 Deontay Kyle

I got some more shit to say to you niggas, man. This woke position, you know what I'm saying? It's good. It's a great stance to take. But how many people in this country is it not a stance for? Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's great to have empathy and it's great to garner empathy for oppressed people. That's a great position to take. But how many people have to have that as a default setting for survival?

0

2986.486 - 2990.453 Deontay Kyle

And what does it mean to live in a war machine?

0

Chapter 7: How does love relate to revolution in a war machine?

2992.492 - 3034.335 Deontay Kyle

This year marks the 250th anniversary of America. 226 of those years spent in armed conflict. This is a war machine. 250 years old, 250 years of state violence against its own citizens. Founded on violence against its own citizens, but were considered property back then. Used to ship in migrants, vagrants to be used for labor and then assume violence against them. What is a war machine?

0

3034.916 - 3072.162 Deontay Kyle

A war machine will bomb and destabilize your country, organize a coup in your country, replace the leader with somebody for their own interests, send the citizens fleeing, grant them asylum, and then criminalize their existence. That's a war machine. Send you fleeing, open up the doors, and tell you it's illegal to be inside. That's a war machine. 98% of its existence spent in armed conflict.

0

3073.103 - 3098.383 Deontay Kyle

And those 22 years of peace wasn't peaceful for the people who lived here. Wasn't peaceful for black people. So you can't even consider it peace. We'll be right back at this commercial break. I got some more shit to talk, but I need to update these notes. Nothing hits like home cooking.

0

3098.883 - 3119.027 Deontay Kyle

And HelloFresh makes it easy to do more of it this year with recipes that feel good, taste delicious, night after night. Listen, y'all know I love good food. but I do not love figuring out what to cook every single day. And HelloFresh really takes the pressure off. It makes dinner feel intentional instead of stressful.

0

3119.047 - 3138.025 Deontay Kyle

And with three kids to feed, I'm not trying to walk into that kitchen with no stress. There's something about cooking at home that just feels grounding. Whether it's a busy weeknight or you got people over, HelloFresh makes it simple and actually enjoyable. They have more than 100 recipes every week And I'm talking cuisines from around the world.

3138.586 - 3162.612 Deontay Kyle

So you're not stuck eating the same thing over and over. And right now, especially when it's cold and you just want something comforting, they've got options that really hit. And the portions, bigger, so everybody eats. One thing I really appreciate is that they have more than 35 high-protein recipes every week, including new Mediterranean and GLP-1-friendly options. And the ingredients...

3162.777 - 3181.562 Deontay Kyle

Wholesome, sustainably sour seafood, 100% antibiotic and hormone-free chicken. You're eating real food, period. They now have three times the seafood with no upcharge. And you can even level up with grass-fed ribeye steaks if you're trying to impress somebody or just treat yourself.

3181.542 - 3200.698 Deontay Kyle

And another thing I really love is that they use seasonal produce like pears, apple, asparagus, so the meals feel fresh and intentional. Because when dinner tastes this good, nothing hits like home cooking. I actually use HelloFresh, and I wouldn't tell y'all about it if I didn't like it. It's one of those things that just makes my life easier.
