Bit of background on my situation and how I ended up on the same flight as him. Let's call him David. I live in Perth and I broke up with my ex at the beginning of December, which prompted a trip back home to Zambia, yes, in Africa, for the Christmas break. It wasn't a healthy relationship at all and I felt like I needed some time away with family to re-evaluate my life. On my return journey to Perth, I had a layover in Johannesburg and when I got to the boarding gate, I sat down and locked eyes with a strikingly handsome man, David. Think tall, messy brown hair, striking green eyes. He seemed a bit familiar and I realised it's probably because he resembled a younger Bradley Cooper. Insane. Okay. Oh, dickhead diva.
We queued up to board the flight and with all the commotion of everyone getting up, it was a full flight. I didn't realise he was actually standing right in front of me. He turned around and smiled, a warm and genuine smile, and we struck up an easy conversation. He was from Melbourne and was connecting through via Perth.

I know, right? Soon. We talked and laughed a lot in the queue, all the way to the boarding gate and onto the plane. It was a great conversation and I could definitely sense some chemistry right off the bat. He also mentioned his ex-girlfriend twice. So I took this as he was making it very apparent that he was single.
