What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
A listener production. I don't know, babe. I just don't want to turn our own horn, but I just thought we were a couple of genuine birds, to be honest. I'm going to fucking put it out there. Like, just a couple of real true blue cheeks. Like, you know. True blue. Which sees what you get done. But true blue, you know if I'm crying, I can't fake cry to save myself. I've tried. Trust me, I've tried.
Oh, babe, sometimes you're like, jeez, I wish I could have shed a tear in that beautiful moment. I know, I'm like... Nothing came down.
Nothing came...
Cheers, babes. Welcome to Happy Hour with Lucy and Nikki, the real life shit you only discuss over a drink. But before we start, a little disclaimer.
So today we are here for Tales of Misfortune minis. So basically what we've done, guys, is when you guys submit stories for Tales of Misfortune, some of them aren't quite long enough to make, I guess, like a full episode. But they're still epic stories. So we're collating them into these mini episodes.
They still needed a home. They need a home. Yeah, these are great.
And honestly, safe to say some of you guys have some... trauma-related experiences.
Honestly, babe. There's so many. Like, it's so funny because when we do, we've already done a few Tales of Misfortune episodes and, like, the stories are a lot more, I guess, serious.
Yeah, for sure. I mean, there's some that like, I thought the chick with the stripper boyfriend was pretty funny.
Literally. Well, I guess like there's, oh, that's in the first lot.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
What are Tales of Misfortune Minis and why are we releasing them now?
Yeah, it's very true. I know. But I think these ones that you're going to see in this episode, they're a lot more short, sharp, and they're kind of funny.
Kind of funny. Very funny.
Like, I think everyone's come out the other end, you know.
Before we get into it though, I have a question for you. Oh. That I thought of last night and I was like, this is a good game. And I was like, I'll save it for Nick. I was going to text it to you and then I was like, what? No, no, no, no, no.
Save it for on air, babe.
So you've got to choose one for the rest of your life. Okay. Okay. You can either only drink once a month on a big night, like have like a big bender, fun, fun, like party night.
Yeah.
but you're not allowed to touch alcohol any other night of the week ever at all. Like you're at a beautiful dinner, can't touch it. Or you can have two glasses of wine any night you want. You can have it seven nights a week, but only two glasses for the rest of your life. You've got one big blowout a month or two glasses a night for the rest of your life. What are you choosing? It's fucking hard, man. I was bamboozled when I thought of this. That is hard, babe. Isn't it? Babe, honestly, I thought of this last night and I'm like, God, Lucy, your brain is complex.
My instant reaction was to go for the two whenever I want because I love wine with food. Me too, babe, and I love to wind down. But then, like, in my current season, I actually haven't been drinking much. So I'm like, maybe I would just go the one big blowout. Once a month rolls around quick. But I think in my current season, the two is more appropriate for me. Like it's a longer enjoyment is around that. Yeah. Like two glasses of wine is us sharing a bottle.
And I quite love doing that. I love to do that. But I also love having a massive night. I know. I just don't know. So I was the reason why I thought about this last night. Because obviously I'm not drinking at the moment. And so I'm like trying to like, I guess.
You're going to get so buck wild after your shoot.
Oh, definitely.
Yeah. You're going to fucking blow it hard.
Yeah. No, I'm probably not actually. I've got to just find someone that wants to get buckwild with me on a Tuesday.
Everyone that's shooting with you will get buckwild.
Yeah, hopefully. Good team, babe. So I was thinking about it though because I'm like looking a lot at my drinking habits and like observing them and I'm like, okay... You know, like I was chatting to a friend of ours and she was like, see, I'm more of like a I'll just drink to get drunk, which was me from the age of like 18 to 23.
