Maybe it's Maybelline. There's a reason you clicked on this episode. Maybe it's because you struggled with confidence in the past. Maybe something happened that changed the way you view yourself or feel towards your self-worth. Or maybe you find yourself always dependent on other people's opinions and how they view you to determine how you feel or how you view yourself. Confidence is not something that can be given to you by other people. It is something that you have to want to give yourself. It doesn't matter how shy you were in the past, how much you didn't like yourself, it is never too late to start building self-confidence that lasts. So if you want to learn how to level up your life and feel like the highest, healthiest, and happiest version of yourself, this is the podcast for you.

Hello, beautiful people, and welcome back to the podcast. If you are new here, my name is Brianna Gomez, or you can call me Brie, and I am your host of Hot and Unbothered, the ultimate place to be for the people who want an actual lasting intentional change. We don't want a short-term glow up. Hot is a mindset, and unbothered is a state of being where there is nothing that anyone can say or do that will throw you off from knowing that. You are a person who deserves true confidence, true love, true abundance, and peace in their life. So I am so happy you are here. Whether this is your first episode with us or your hundredth, I love you so much, and I'm so proud of you for being here today. And if you clicked on this episode, there's maybe a chance that confidence is something that you either want to maintain, you want to achieve or obtain for the first time ever.

Maybe it's something you've struggled with for a really long time. I want you to know. That I used to be so cripplingly shy. I had terrible social anxiety. I didn't want to be seen. My twin sister would have to speak for me. I wanted to be the person in the back of the class, the person who didn't get called on, the person whose voice would shake when they were having to speak in front of a crowd. And now I have a podcast and I don't say this to be all, uh, look how far I've come and I've done all this and I have all these things. I say this. So that you can know I have been in your exact shoes. And sometimes we get into moments where we might feel a little less confident than usual. And that is okay.

How does Brianna describe the difference between external validation and real self‑confidence?

Brianna Gomez 2:45
Confidence is not something that you are born with. It is not something that is just granted to you. Confidence is something you have to consistently practice if you want it to last. And luckily, I've learned a thing or two over the years because I used to not be able to. Talk to anyone, and now I talk to you guys every single week on my own podcast, which again, I say that so that you know that there is nothing that is impossible for you. I wanted to do social media so bad, I wanted a platform so bad, but I literally could not speak. And now we're here. So it's never too late, and I'm so proud of you for being here today. I've got lots of tips for the girlies who think they are Too awkward, who think they're too shy, who maybe once were confident and they feel like they just lost their mojo now.

I know what you're going through, and there is a way out, and we are going to rewire that perspective today. But before we dive in, you guys know I love to share a very quick podcast review. Today I have one from Beatriz. She said, Hi Brie, I'm a 14-year-old teen from Portugal, and I have been loving listening to your podcast lately. I genuinely think that you are the most sweet, kind, and loving Lovely influencer that exists. Oh my goodness.
